The Lucid Gravity will be the market leader in terms of range, performance, efficiency, aerodynamics, etc. This would also make a great platform for a pickup truck just like what Rivian has done with the R1S & R1T. It already has a massive frunk and adjustable air suspension for off road capability - so I predict an SUV variant will be made at some point.

Needs the charge port in the back!! I think it’s a better home garage charging experience to have chargers near the garage door, which makes it much easier to plug in when port is on back of car.

Lucid has officially announced it will join the NACS migration starting in 2025. First, vehicles such as the Lucid Air will be granted access to the Tesla Supercharger network via adapters that will be made available to owners of CCS-equipped Lucid Air vehicles. Later in 2025 Lucid's vehicles will start coming with a NACS port standard. If you're in the market for a Lucid Air then you may want to wait until the tail end of 2025 to make the purchase. 🎉❤😊

But I think the Cadillac lyriq is a sweet spot for 63k AWD. This has way more refinement and I think it being less than 90k is something smart, considering the brand's LUXURY pricing.

Tesla only became profitable because of the cheaper Model 3 and Model Y. Most people make installment payments or lease luxury cars...not pay cash. In fact, savvy investors would rather accept risk investing in the stock market... rather than using those funds to pay cash for expensive cars. The market for new vehicles priced above $75,000 quickly trails off... especially in a high interest rate environment. Lucid made a strategic error in product planning. First, they should have introduced the Gravity (rather than the Air) because passenger cars are now a smaller market than crossovers/SUVs. Second, their follow up model should have been a cheaper $50,000 vehicle.

With such high price, Lucid (and Rivian) won't survive for long. Remember, Tesla did NOT become profitable until they began producing the Model 3 in 2020 - a car that costs less than $40k with incentives. No company can survive without selling to the mass at reachable prices. Especially in the current economic climate.

I like the SUV design, but the practicality of an electric SUV is questionable, especially when you consider that you have to go for a long road trip and don't want to spend 1 hour a day on average at charge stations.

You get 7 hours of driving on a full charge. How long do you plan on driving before you take a break, get a bite to eat and stretch your legs. In reality it's probably better. The only issue will be availability of charging stations. Which Tesla has them beat by a Country Mile.
