This 5 year old video was the deciding factor for me to buy the Lucid memory foam hybrid over the latex version as well as over the other more expensive brands which from this video I can see the build quality is literally identical and 1/3rd - 1/5th the price. 👍

If you haven’t bought I can tell you Worst bed is memory bed, horrible horrible horrible, don’t think about it , you can think either natural latex , prefer talalay latex it’s more expensive but it’s the best or you can try hybrid pocket coil with natural or talalay mattress, you will say thank God!

My girlfriend and I have been going back and forth between the latex and the memory foam. This review was extremely helpful! The only experience I have with latex bedding came from a pillow, which did exactly as your video showed. The moment you lift your head off it, it looks like its brand new. My girlfriend prefers the softer, "hugging" memory foam, and I prefer the firmer latex! Looks like we're going to be doing exactly what you guys did. Double Twin XLs!

Buying a new Mattress to start my new married life. And found the 12inch Lucid Hybrid Queen on Amazon for a bit cheaper than the local mattress stores and for much better quality and build materials for the price. After watching all the reviews happy with ordering it. Didn't want to spend over $500 but still wanted something that was quality over my old all spring coil bed.

What a great in-depth review, I remember watching this video just before buying my Lucid memory foam hybrid 10 inch mattress on Amazon, I got it for $344 Canadian in January and I absolutely love it! I'm a big fan of the memory foam in fact I even added a Lucid 2 inch memory foam topper just to make the bed a little bit cooler and I'm completely in love with my bed. Just purchased, based partially on this excellent video presentation. Looking forward to setting up. Me, latex hybrid; spouse, memory hybrid. Have used a memory foam topper on our king bed for 10 years, worked well, but time for new mattress, so opted for split twin xl with the adjustable bed frames (Naoimi brand, with head and foot massage units.) Great prices for both at Amazon!

The Latex one I would think is better. Latex is cooler and because of the more springy bounce back and yet soft will retain it's shape longer, easier to reposition in the bed vs memory foam which is hotter and can over time create a divot at least our all memory foam mattress have after years of use. But the choice of latex vs memory foam is personal of feeling. I find it's harder to move and you end up in a pocket that are slow to rebound.

With regard to the latex hybrid, 1.5 inches of latex is really very little. Memory foam is very cheap. Latex is more expensive. A minimum of 3 inches of latex would be needed to really call it a latex hybrid.

I didn't get the mattress with the bamboo charcoal, and aloe vera :-( So, I sure hope I don't end up disappointed. Although I've had the bed since March I've had NO issues with it, so that's a plus. Great video, btw.

I can see the benefits of the individual adjustable bases but how does two mattresses help with intimacy? That gap has to be a problem? How does having two different mattresses compare to a personally designed one by Helix that can do what you've done but in one king size mattress?

i cannot decide between the lucid 10 inch latex hybid and the lucid 10 inch latex foam. have you tried both? would a bed with no springs last longer? there are more reviews on amazon for the latex foam version but oddly less video reviews on youtube on them. most of the reviews on youtube are for the hybrid.

Well.......I'm fairly certain you'll never see this question, but I'm wondering if you ever had odor or fiberglass particle issues with either version? Supposedly, that fire sock under the zip cover has a lot of fiberglass, and many people that have ever zipped off the cover complained about fiberglass particles everywhere.

I was just going through all these reviews to find anything on fiberglass. I would never open up a cover. You're not supposed to anyway. By doing so you can possibly get the fiberglass particles in the air. Only spot treat the outside of the mattress never unzip it

We have 2 twin XL in our twin frame, just put a memory foam mattress topper on top of it and voila. My husband has a regular seally posturepedic mattress with coils and no memory foam, I have teh lucid memory foam. each our preference and the middle us comfortable too with the topper. rom Costco

I feel like I should make a bed out of (2) 3" Foam topper combinations. 1 Firm Latex and 1 Plush Charcoal Bamboo to test my luck. Mainly cause of the Lucid reviews concerning fiber glass releasing even when they don't open the bed cover. (I am excluding the comments about people washing their bedcovers.... they are idiots.). PS maybe its just me but having an aloe vera foam underneath a charcoal foam that ABSORBS odors.... kinda dumb isnt it?

I like it. I've been seeing it rated in the med to med firm. It's easily med-firm. It has a little give but not good for side sleepers or even combos I'd imagine. Back and stomach are fine. If I could do over, I'd maybe do something a little softer/plush. Have you tried that one?

the foam mattress i bought from lucid sagged within a year and now my back is messed up..switched to a coil mattress and i just cant sleep because i feel the coils...will the hybrid give me the support and comfort ? Do you feel the coils when you sleep?

@@coohjay Glad you asked!! I'd been meaning to write a review about this for a while. I still have it and am sleeping on it, however after 6 months to 1 year it started losing it firmness. It's still the same size n all, but it's just very soft fluffy foam now - sleeps kinda warm tbh. Wish it were a bit firmer for support - but I guess wear n tear broke it down within the 1st year I hear mattresses like casper are horrible to start with even. So - in that respect i'm glad i only paid what.. $350-400 for this, vs $700 for casper. Anybody know bed in a box mattresses that've held up over time?
