i noticed in this performance during the transition from cornfield to NGD, this glinda walks upstage instead of running like on broadway. this is the first i’ve noticed an actress do it this way and i wonder if it’s just something that they do in the UK. It’s fascinating to see the small details that were tweaked in productions around the world

I also thought it was supposed to transition between Glinda saying Fiyero ti Elphaba saying it, maybe I didn’t hear it right but I don’t think Elphaba said “Fiyero”

Are the flying monkeys (other than Chistery) usually at the beginning of NGD in other productions? I don’t recall seeing them on Broadway or on the US tours. I really like it though.

No only in west end u see flying monkeys

Usually other tours except Broadway changes the choreography slightly. Like for example in one of the tours during Jessica Vosk’s runs during the scene where Elphaba uses her powers on everyone after the lion is in the cage some of the students start flying during that dance sequence which was the first time I’ve ever seen that. Like literally flying.

Why doesn't Elphaba fall from her feet to her knees like she does on Broadway after the big climatic "FIYEROOOOOOOOOOOO" note? And why does she need to be lowered onto down before she falls? Safety concerns?
