Congrats on moving in! My husband and I also just moved into our new house in the suburbs after living in Chicago for a decade. What a change! But a nice change. Nice reminder that new homes are a marathon not a race! We also have to buy furniture for several rooms and are taking our time. So many things to do and projects to tackle! 😊

The new place looks absolutely lovely. I think it's so normal for appliances to suddenly not work - my parents moved into a brand new home and some of the locks, lights, and the entire oven didn't work! You'd think they would have checked these things before they let people move in??

I found you when you were still at Refinery 21? 29? whatever.... 😂. I'm your parents age (61), I listened to your dad when I visited my grandma in NYC. What a wonderful home! It’s so great that you’re already making connections. Whenever I’ve moved as a kid or young adult, that was the hardest part for me. It is a lot easier to meet friends as a mom of a little one than in many other phases of life I’ve found.

My dream would be a house exactly like that. I don't need anything that big, but houses in Australia are just insanely expensive. It's over a million dollars for a tiny unit (not even a house) that doesn't have a backyard. Bit depressing!

girl never do that with the baking pans again please go to home depot and buy a $4 5 gal bucket next time and use the emergency drain tube that's in the bottom where the pump filters is 😭 in fact.. just buy the bucket anyway because i guarantee you'll need it sometime

ours doesn't fit a bucket because the washing machine is on the ground so nothing higher than a baking tray can fit under there!!! 😳
