Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You I like the song, too.

I love your reaction to this series...I binge-watched this a few years ago and then took a breather and watched it again to figure out how it got to where it ended. It zigs and zags, sometimes funny, sometimes serious and violent, and other times kinda heartbreaking. Your take on Maze is interesting. I never really thought she was in love with Lucifer but I can see it now that you brought it up. I always saw purpose and duty in her relationship to Lucifer but both of them seem to do their own things with whomever they want. Maze likes the old Lucifer and doesn't like him taking risks now that he's vulnerable.I think she's confused about her purpose and her usefulness to him and worried that he doesn't need her anymore. I mean she's his favourite demon, they've spent an eternity together, if he keeps wandering off saving humans what is she left with other than being a bartender

It's lovely seing you getting to know the characters and the show. Lucifer never lying (and never really shutting up either) is a great take on the devil hanging out with humans.

I agree! It's such a subversion of what we would typically expect of the devil. He's not cruel or malicious or deceitful or anything that we often think, and I think that's a very clever and interesting take on the character.

I really liked your thoughts about Maze's relationship with Lucifer and whether Demon love does exist. It is an interesting idea which is slowly explored as the season progresses. Celestials and demons are complicated, I suppose. Thank you for the shout-out! That was a lovely surprise when I came to watch your reaction today. I 100% agree about the music choices and think the person who selects the music for this show should have won an award!

You're welcome for the spotlight! I thought it would be a nice way to engage with the community, especially once it gets so big I can't keep up with responding to comments as much as I like to :)

It's hard sometimes to comment because of the likelihood of introducing spoilers (and I can't stand people who do it intentionally). As I've said before in other comments on other channels, Lucifer is my favorite TV series of all time because of its superb writing, perfect casting, great acting, storyline (main and sides), and best of all, the music selection. Tom Ellis had many great adlibs that were kept in the show. Some people criticized Lucifer because it stretches or even changes some Biblical narratives (such as Lucifer being the Prince or Father of Lies). However, I'd say that overall, it presents a positive view about Christianity . . .

I appreciate you putting thought into avoiding spoilers! :) I do hate them so. But yeah, I could see where some people would have issues with the creative changes they've taken in this show, but I really like them. If I wanted something boring and "cannon" I'd just go read the Bible, you know? :D

"stretches or even changes some Biblical narratives"? I don't want to disrespect anyone's beliefs. I'm all for people making their own choices. I just wanted to say there are over 450 known versions of the Bible in English alone.

@@EL_Duderino68 So true. Translations depend heavily on the methodology used. When you add popular folklore (such as Eve eating an apple), things can vary greatly . . .

Seems like someone is very sensitive when accused of having a God complex. Apparently this is the first time that Lucifer faces someone who makes him see that his "deals" always have consequences...

Indeed! Chloe had no idea how close she was to saying "You're just like your father." And he certainly is not a fan of that comparison!
