My favorite part of this episode is between Amenadiel & Linda when she accepts his apology. Amenadiel said "Thank You" to her "Apologies accepted" like he wasn't expecing it and was really grateful that she gave him that. He really does a great job with the way he says things and for that reason his character grew on me over the Seasons. That last smirk towards God was something that Tricia did off script and they decided to keep it because it fit pretty well.

do you think that Amenadiel apologised to Linda in an attempt to 'fix' his wings? and was then disappointed to find them still shedding? I found his apology a bit self-centered and dishonest in that respect... (or maybe I've just been watching too much The Good Place lately :D) that last smirk is amazing. Tricia is a stunning woman but that was THE look for her - really made her look like Lucifer's Mom lol

Chloe's coats are awesome. The red one at the beginning of this episode is just gorgeous on her, suiting her coloring perfectly. Once they moved back to LA for shooting, she doesn't wear coats as much, which is a shame. She looks so good in them.

Lucifer and Amenadiel and Mum are not humans so they remember “everything” in detail from the past like it was yesterday. Maze…you’ll have to wait for her story but it’ll be given out in bits and pieces. Think about all that Amenadiel has done since coming to earth. His character is going to develop as much as any other character on the show but it’ll be a slow ride. Thanks for reacting ❤

Maze's story will come in time, be patient. You will learn more about how she came to be, what kind of being she is etc. :) probably safe to say that her and Mom aren't related, though - neither Maze nor Mom gave any indication that they were.

Not sure if its really true, but i have read somewhere that Tricia Helfer should have played originally the role of Chloe Decker, but she was busy at that time. So the took here later for the role of "mum" since also Tom Ellis was a big fan of her and really wanted her in the show. Whatever, she was a great addition to the cast (together with Aimee Garcia aka Ella Lopez) in season 2 and she has quite some interesting character developments later in the series.

If you believe the Bible mythology, Lilith gave birth to the demons. That might have included Mazikeen. Lucifer said previously that Maze was created to be his protector, so maybe she birthed Maze for that reason.

I don't remember the name of Lucifer's mother in the series being mentioned other than being the "goddess of creation" but in the biblical sources there is a possible reference to Lucifer's mother and they call her "Aurora", it would make sense since In the show they say that Lucifer's mother has no physical form, it is understood that she is light and energy and although she can show herself with an appearance, she cannot be touched by a physical being. She is like a powerful "aura" or "ghost".

26:24 I put it down to my inability to even conceive of how immortal divine beings like them would even perceive the passage of time... even. I mean, barring the insane political landscape these days, I still keep thinking of this as a new century, but we're already a quarter of the way into it. Don't even ASK me to try and keep track of days. What's a millennia to a being that may have existed since the beginning of literally everything? Her time in hell may have just seemed like a few decades to her, or centuries, since they're at least portraying it in the show as even she felt like it was a long time.

Hell's torture methods are something of an inconsistency within the show. We see maze is fond of physical torture and from time to time Lucifer mentions physical torture there too while it will be shown that torture in hell have more of a psychological side to it.

Throughout his long life, Lucifer has come to Earth on several occasions, although he never stayed more than a few hours or days each time he was on Earth. 5 years is the longest time he has been on earth at the moment. As for Lucifer's name, it is not a lie, his own family calls him by that name because it is like an alias that refers to "the light bringer" in latin. Furthermore, hiding his real name is not the same as lying. He prefers not to be called Samael because it is the name that God gave him and he wants to renounce everything that links him to God. For this reason, throughout his existence he has had many names.

Satan, God, Heaven, Hell is just stories they're really good stories as they leave enough to the imagination of the listener and the teller, and to the reader and the author. "What If" - is the first question to begin an original story with established characters. Where did God' Wife come from? Discuss amongst yourself. Gods Angels - Angels being messengers to whom was skipped over but God In Heaven and the Garden Of Eden and that story.... Angels rebelled and stood up to tyranny. Creations of God born in Heaven considered Heaven a Tyranny and despite not being created with free will, rebelled. Humans are special to Angels, because we have free will and self awareness. A second glance in the mirror "Is that me that people see?". What would a snail think when faced with a mirror? Does it matter? Should higher consciousness beings seek to uplift simpler forms of biology if so how if not why not?

this gets confusing because each character was made up at different times. the Lucifer we see for the most part didnt come about until the 1300s and was then projected back to many different characters.. including (by christians) the serpent in the garden.. which is wrong on so many levels. Some ancient pottery has YHWH and his Asherah wife consort etc but that was a later pantheon choice because Asherah was in older cannanite pantheon the consort wife of EL the god MOST HIGH and yhwh was one of his (ELs) sons. The Hebrews and Cannanites were mostly polytheist with many gods until around the 3rd century BCE when they did the MY GOD CAN BEAT UP YOUR GOD thing with the yhwh cult blending all the parts they wanted, making Ba'al go from sort of yhwh gods brother... but baal means lord and is a title not a name... it was Baal Hadad. and asherah would have been their mother. but switching to monotheism or only one god meant a pantheon shuffle and well women are only property so goddesses got the boot. when josiah smashed all the other temples in the region and the ASHERAH poles to her, she was kicked out so to speak, but for a short while went from dad EL's wife to her son yhwhs wife, then to oblivion. but traces remain and many ancient christian authors knew the HOLY SPIRIT in the new trinity thing was really the goddess and wrote about it plenty... thus becoming heretics. The Maze story line has not developed yet and is not biblical anyways, comes centuries later. and you have to wait a couple seasons for this shows take on the stories. The DEVIL is Greek era ie after 332 bce. the character SATAN or ha satan just meant adversary. HE IS NOT IN GENESIS PERIOD. he is seen as a prosecuting attorney type in book of JOB but no where is he this devil figure, that didnt really exist until 1300s with Milton's paradise lost and Dante's Inferno literature. AND if you recall the GOAT reference joke Amenediel made and how Lucy hates it... that is MOSTLY the invention of Baphomet... which at the time was sort of a hippy inclusion symbol, but the name came to be during the Templar trials in 1300s also. MOHAMMAD was what the muslims were calling out but it got morphed to baphomed and the Templars were accused of worshiping this false deity. Centuries later when the image was painted the name was given to it. and now the Satanic Temple uses it as their logo... half man/ half woman - have human half animal - half good half bad etc.... dual nature stuff.
