It’s because they don’t have romantic chemistry AT ALL, so it feels forced. Plus, these episodes with them as a couple are so boring.

I can field this one. The reasons are: 1) Pierce/Cain is barely explored as an antagonist until the last few episodes beyond being a romantic rival. Hell he barely does anything villainous this season. 2) They have zero chemistry, in-universe are treated as a mistake driven by Lucifer not opening himself up to Chloe. 3) It just drew out Lucifer and Chloe, and unlike you know who and what in season four it felt really unearned.

As a little thing, you don’t need to watch Episodes 25 and 26. They’re leftovers from the unsmooth Fox cancellation and have no bearing on the canon of the show

If i remember correctly these final episodes and this storyline only happened because FOX cancelled Lucifer suddenly and they wanted to give some sort of ending to the show. I really hated the last few episodes of lucifer S3 when i first watched the show.

you remember incorrect. The episodes were all recorded already and the cast +the showrunners thought that they will get a season 4 on FOX (this is the reason why there was this huge cliffhanger at end of episode 24) . FOX told them that they cancell the show 1 or 2 weeks before they aired the last 1(or last 2) episodes (but to that time all episodes for season 3 were filmed) they filmed even the 2 bonus episodes because they wanted to have them on season 4 when they would have stayed on FOX.
