I liked Dan as a character and all, but I did not expect how hard his unexpected death would hit me. I cried like a baby for the last half of the episode. The actors did such a good job with this episode.

I watched series just for fun and never really go invested in all the characters, but the acting really made me fight a tear or two. Amazing how they pulled this off, one of the best Deaths I've ever seen

When the doctor comes out of the OR and shakes her head, I thought "Is this how is it really going to end?" was the perfect name of the episode. Then when I heard Trixie's voice I thought, "nooo, it is going to end even worse!"

I always assumed by the way Dan's killer reacted that Lucifer told him something along the line that he was the devil, Dan was his friend, and that he will see him in hell. After all, if you found out that you would actually be going to hell and that the devil had a personal grudge against you, wouldn't you be terrified? You can argue that that knowledge was Lucifer's punishment for him until he dies and goes to hell. Also, you can't blame Jerry too much for Dan's death as it was Kevin Alejandro's (the guy who plays Dan) idea. Great reaction as always guys!

My condolences, John and Steve 😢. You’ve made it. You’ve made it to the most painful episode of this show. I was SO not ready for this episode. I mean, this show was my comfort show , and even though Charlotte’s death was sad and all, this was another level! Specially after that “naked and afraid” episode 😞 If y’all remember, I mentioned that the writers liked having Dan’s character being tortured and going through shit. But this was Kevin Alejandro’s idea to kill off his character in the last season (I mean they thought it was till the very end) so instead of Jerry, y’all should go knock on his door lol. Other than the ultimate PAIN of this episode, I think it had a pretty good crime setting. The way everything tied up to Amenadiel’s necklace and the way the crime was laid out was done very well. I think Chloe blamed Lucifer because he did start this whole mess because he wanted to be god. If Amenadiel was the candidate, there was no way any of the other angels would back up Michael. Both Lucifer and Michael are hated by angels, hence the “battle” between them. Trixie’s actress killed it on this episode. The way my heart broke for her 😞😞💔 I never thought this funny goofy show would do this to me 😭😭😭 I think in Lucifer’s mind, death was an easy way out for Dan’s killer. When he whispered in his ear, he “brought hell on earth” and his torture began here on earth. I can’t even say RIP Dan 😭 he’s in fucking hell 😭😭 Thank you for the great reaction like always 🥹

Both character arc of Lucifer and Dan were the ones that evolved the most throughout the 5 seasons. Dan started out being a shitty and lazy cop in S1 and ended up making us all cry in S5. Since S5 was going to be the show's final season, the actor who plays Dan wanted to go out in a big way. Then it happened that Netflix (missing only shot 2 episodes of the S5), request an S6.

A long time ago I decided I wouldn't cry over things because it only makes me feel worse so I rarely cry. Trixie asking "where's my dad" set me off on a crying jag that lasted about an hour. I was just in utter shock. A lot of that is down to the amazing writing & acting. Only one other character death in another show made me cry that. The writer of that show said that character had to die for the sake of "good drama" but it felt more like shenanigans to me. I was just as heartbroken with both that one & this but I didn't feel quite as cheated this time. It was incredibly unfair in both cases but the Lucifer writers did better I think.

This was one of the toughest episodes of Lucifer to watch. I don't know anyone who wasn't reduced to tears. You just didn't expect Dan to die. But as far as I know, Kevin Alejandro wanted his character killed off in a spectacular fashion, because when they wrote this, Season 5 was the last season. Netflix didn't ask them to do a sixth season until they had already written and had almost finished shooting Season 5. I won't say anything more about Dan because it would be a spoiler. Great reaction and discussion, as usual.

Maze doesn't always have a soul, But Little by little let the time she spent with Chloe Linda dan Ella and Eve give her a soul. Explanation: because all the time she spent with them she self actualize a soul for her self. She is not mortal. She is just a demon whit a soul. If someone short her, she died, But she doesn't like they all other demons she can be in heaven or hell definitely hell. But she is not going to let anyone to kill her. She can't die from old age unlike Eve. (all the other demons just died they doesn't go to hell or heaven, because they doesn't have a soul, in season four all the other demons doesn't was in their true bodies, not like Maze, so they didn't really die) I hope I help you too :) P.S. 15:39 Dan just died and Chloe really upset. And if Lucifer just doesn't wanna be god, Then Michael doesn't was going to war with, Then Michael doesn't have to go to war with him, Then the merchants ‏would kill Dan :) Again P.S. 19:09 they doesn't kill him because Lucifer want to give him Hell on earth that for him Lucifer think that is more bad for him than death :)
