20 years would have been better, that way Chloe can meet Lucifer early, and Rory don't need to suffer for long. Mostly importantly, we can get a sequel with next generation, with high chances of Lucifer resurrecting Chloe and three spending time together. Just like in season 4, how it shown that Lucifer is going to hell forever but Show can bring him back. But if Chloe died way later, chances of resurrecting is very less. Or sequel without Lucifer and Rory dealing with father problems, that would be repeat of Lucifer and boring. Or Chloe reborn which i feel interesting and boring at the same time.
@jyashin Жыл бұрын
I think so too. If Chloe died an early death (she’s probably 40 given Trixie is like 14 at present) it would make Rory’s grief over Lucifer not being there much more powerful.

What I am most confused about is that death has any meaning in this world. Rory is half angel, she can move between the planes, and when Chloe dies she would be able to see both Rory and Lucifer again, so Lucifer not being there is not so strange. Also the only person who would not be able to see Chloe again until she dies is Trixie. Also Why not tell Rory about Lucifer and let her visit him or he her? it really makes no sense. It seems like they just needed a plot, and wrote at will.
@ruelgalario2184 Жыл бұрын
because if chloe tell rory to visit lucy in hell...rory will not be able to time travel...and also lucy will not be able to realize what should he be doing in hell

Death is still tragic though. Even the Lord himself grieved over the death of Lacarus, I think the writers did good to let death still have that meaning given all the circumstances.

According to Tom Ellis and the Showrunners, Netflix wanted more seasons, but they decided finish it in S6 to no take risks again like in S3 on FOX, and time later they could reunite to make a sequel or a spin-off, or whatever they have in mind. They also said S5 and S6 had the same ending, but Rory was the difference. My theory is there are many loopholes because they didn't have too much time to explain everything (due to the pandemic). So, probably their idea was make an ambiguous ending, and come back time later to explain everything that happened during those 40 years. On The Flash we know how the Time Loops started, and, if we don't know why, there are hints to put the pieces together. On Lucifer it doesn't make any sense! There must be a big reason. Perhaps Lucifer died in the Original Timeline, and the Apocalipse started, because Lucifer couldn't be there, and Amenadiel wasn't God, or maybe he was, but he needed Lucifer's help, or the Apocalipse started for another reason (maybe Rory became the Antichrist, but I would prefer another reason), so the family sacrified their Timeline for a better ending. Some fans thought that maybe this Rory is from another Timeline, another Earth where Lucifer didn't change enough to be a mature man, so he abandoned his family (or he became God and he didn't know how to handle it). But it would be sad, because that means this Rory, who should be happy, will be as sad ad the one from another Universe, so I hope it is not the reason. Rumours say the Showrunners are making the script for a movie or a spin-off, and they hope Netflix accepts it.

I loved the idea of a Deckerstar Daughter, and I understood the Ending, but not the way they did it. So, like another fan said, I hope we see a sequel just after S6 Ending, where Lucifer helps Rory to handle all this revelation.

The whole-time loop thing was badly written too many holes and they ended up with an extremely cruel (to my mind) ending to not only Lucifer but to Trixie and Chloe, but mostly Lucifer. By writing it the way they did they forced Lucifer to do the very thing his dad did to him and also left Trixie without even him there for her as l believe he came to love her too. I mean seeing you child grow is so important to both parents and child and they forced Lucifer to miss those milestones. Do give me the 'it is just a blip' in their eternal existence! It was only going to happen with Rory once! They are important memories. They could have at least had photos of Rory during her childhood from birth to adulthood in Lucifers office so he that much of her. Amenigod could have given those to him with no one else knowing. But Lucifer does not even get that! Rory still gets to be the angry brat. So, as it was written l do not like Rory at all for what she forced Lucifer to promise and the writers copped out with some lazy writing and a very insulting and bland ending. I mean those two were apart for decades on Chloes part and eons/millennia on Lucifers and the best they can do is a lame 'hello detective' and the most boring reunion scene in television history! You see soldiers come home after months away and look at their reunions l end up a blubbering mess on those videos but Lucifers lackluster ending was just lame. And then the whole Le Mac in the therapy office making jokes about shooting Lindas ex in the face? That was insulting to me and not at all funny. That guy deserved hell.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that found her irritating. She literally has no reason to have this kind of personality. Lucifers job of helping the people in hell could have just been like a day job thing and then he could have just popped right back to earth to be with his family. But instead he is supposed to stay just because his angsty daughter made him promise to? If ever there was a time to break your promise then that would be it. At least if Lucifer was actually in her life then she would never turn out to be as insufferable as she was. Her own dad abandoning her was her own damn fault.

Im pretty sure they wanted to end the series with lucifer becoming god. But the fans decided to riot and rampage and demand more seasons from a show that had a great run so they threw together whatever they could. It happens a lot when a show is just not allowed to end naturally.
