Minor variation on Vermax laying eggs at Winterfell: we know that dragons are psychically linked to their riders and react when they experience extreme sensations like making love or giving birth, so maybe Vermax was 'inspired' to lay 'her' first clutch of eggs by Jace getting it on with Sarah Snow, the fact that she had Stark blood being the icing on the cake?

The more I think about eggs calling out to Jon from the crypts, the more I like it. And I love the idea that Rhaenyra sent 1-3 eggs with Jace to make a promise to young Rickon? If you are right, this Stark prince was promised a dragon, Jace’s daughter. The eggs are her metaphorical “ladies in waiting”, just waiting at WF to be placed in her cradle. Daemon probably picked them out himself under Dragonstone. Once it all fell apart, maybe Cregan stashed them in a warm spot under WF and collapsed the way down there in order to hide evidence of the pact. I wonder if Cregan told Aegon III about Rhaenyra’s plan? I wonder if Rhaegar could “hear” the dragons at WF too? Did he locate the eggs? Is that how he convinced Leanna that the prophecy/pact was legit? I always wondered why she believed him and his tales about needing to breed 3 dragonriders, my impression was that she wasn’t easy to sweet talk and wouldn’t have gotten caught up in some smooth talker bs with no good reason/proof. I wonder if Rhaegar sang about the last of the dragons, and this made her cry, like Ygritte and the song about the giants. I frickin love this!

Yup, it’s like he already plucked a wolf from ice, so he will probably not actually wake “his” dragons from stone - but Mel may try to. Maybe this is why they sacrifice Shireen, to emulate Dany’s pyre and make the eggs go “pop”. Sometimes I think that Mel is the PwP, and she will sacrifice Shireen to ressurect Jon, i.e. wake a dragon from stone/grey Wall ice. And this is why Shireen (another little dragon dreamer) is so afraid of stone dragons.

I could totally see those D eggs being under the Winter Gardens (if they exist, which is likely).. The "Blue Flower" trope (?) is so entwined with Lyanna, Rhaegar (A Dragon), The Wall, Magic, Jon & Ygritte, as well as the Wildling's, and "True North". The Blue Rose is a Lovers token, in every sense, given the book Histories. What if the Blue Roses from Winterfell are growing atop a Dragon egg?? Also, if Cregan was given more than one egg by Jace, and The Black's, it'd make sense to split them up.. Or, as Jace was;"Courting" Sara, perhaps He gave Her a Dragon egg which She put in the Gardens, especially if She was with child. I've always equated the crypts more with the old King's of Winter, the Night's King and whatever betrayal the Stark's pulled off all those years ago. I know Bran "Saw" a Dragon, so an egg could definitely be there.But, an egg in the Gardens is poetic, if not prophetic *Edit G.R.R.M isn't really a "Romantic" as a writer. He is a Amazing at writing prophecy, though. Anyways, I'm likely very mistaken lol ..

But remember in GOT that the dragons did not do well at the wall, or in the North. They kept flying around and were restless. Dany mentioned this as well, that they didn't like the cold in the HBO series. But I do agree. The dragons could have at least been taken somewhere at times to "warm up" then always staying near the North, it would've been completely helpful. The Starks held the North best at any rate. They could've been more powerful in protecting the North with added power. 😔

I actually assumed Vermax laying eggs was triggered by Jace and Sarah Snow hooking up; dragons and riders and emotional bonds and all that. Jace got his rocks off and Vermax...laid some rocks? Stoney, rocky dragons eggs that is... The idea of using the hot springs of Winterfell as an incubator in proxy of Dragonstone's volcanic heat fits perfectly, too. Makes me hope Jon finds them eventually in the present story.

Maybe Ryan is talking with Kit? Here's a......well imaginings for how Snow goes: Sansa finds eggs at Winterfell. Most of show is dialogue and visions. Sansa brings eggs north while Jon is talking/arguing with Bran/the Children. Starks reach some sort of accord with TCOTF. Series ends with Tormoun, Ghost, and Sansa watching Jon awaken the dragons. Sound...... interesting?

I just got a copy of Fire&Blood for christmass and I was thinking about this whole Aegon's dream stuff when I stumbled upon the story of Nymor Martel. He wrote a secret letter to Aegon which prompted the conquerer to abandon his war on Dorne. With the new knowledge that we have of Aegon's motives behind the conquest, that turn of events begs the question of wether the Martels were in on the whole Long Night prophecy. It might explain the enigmatic plotting of Dorian and Oberyn in ASoIaF, though I haven't yet gone back to investigate further. However, I can't seem to grasp why Dorne fought the conquest when Torrhen Stark knelt in a similar position. Maybe they have a different role to play in the story's endgame...

So, I crashed at their place for the night as well..Their sweet Dog snuggled up to Me all night too. I was so Blessed and boy did I need that break! Couldn't john coming back to life be considered "waking a dragon from stone" egg from dunk and egg is seen as a dragon egg being hatched in a dream, and you could consider being dead as being made of stone perhaps especially at the wall being cold as it is there.

Loved this stream! Just a quick note about that last point. I love the idea that Bran and Sam would write down the true written history and be the last King. Made me think, GRRM would definitely end the series similar to LOTR. Bran would be the "Frodo" passing on the book to Sam for the final pages. Similar to the show ending, they would most likely name the book The Song of Ice and Fire, just like how Frodo names his story the same as the title of the series!

I don’t think that Jace’s trip to winterfell was so crazy that dragon eggs come out of it, it was all about an alliance at the end of day. Jace was sexually awakened by the lady of the vale and met a beautiful Northern Girl (maybe some Jon and Dany parallel the northern beauty and the fiery dragon lord). He founded a lasting alliance that solidified his Mother’s line and maintained the house of the dragon for generations to come. No need to get for mythological than that. He was an awesome diplomat and would have been an amazing king taken too soon.

In terms of Weirwood: does the fandom ever talk about Pando in Utah or the fungus in Oregon? I vaguely remember you and Minty talking about seedless Weirwoods and Christmas mushrooms tradition, but wasn’t sure if you believed the Weirwood weren’t trees nor separate plants rather a giant mushroom network. Besides those things, I think the “other” take aways are the pun of clonal vs. colonial and take the other are infertile and need other bodies to propagate (like a bunch of Targaryen men).

I always assumed that Jon would be riding an ice dragon. Everything it mentions ice dragons it's during a Jon pov I believe. I'm trying to think if the tail of them far north in the shivering sea is in his but even the blue eye of the ice dragon are Jon pov references. So Either that or The Night King will ride one, a legit one not a dead one whited and brought back they are supposed to be far bigger it would make sense how they would still have magic since magic seems to be tied to dragons. I do think it odd though that at stone gate once the wildings come to the wall there seems to be infestation of boar.

Even if they figured it should be a Valyrian and a First Men descendant, there are plenty of First Men descendants in the South plus all those in the North... No reason to think it had to be a Stark. Actually even the Strongs (and supposedly the Hightowers) are of First Men descent... Or maybe it needs to be an Old Gods followers. But again, that's pretty much everyone in the North plus the Blackwoods and other random people in the South.

I'm also looking forward to the Winterfell scenes/subplot..I'm hoping We'll get some Great show drama with a good amount of aSoI&F Myth, Lord and Legend..and, obviously, a sprinkling of Magic regarding The Wall and the Heart trees...

On the gender of dragons, in my strange opinion I think they are similar too slugs were they can both get pregnant and get another of their kind pregnant, and are born a certain gender but can change gender when they want. I feel like dreamfyre and syrax riders rhaena and rhaenyra we're both mother's and dragon bonded so maybe them being linked to their owners theyre dragons also birthed many eggs. Maybe 🤔

i know im late in the comments so idk if youll ever read this, but ive always wondered how did the north families get around offering up their ACTUAL ancestral blades, did they just ask aegon like hey we will send you a sword for every house that needs to but many house have ancestral valyrian steel swords such as the sword ICE im holding and wed rather not part with these house heirlooms? n how did aegon react was he cool with it, or did they hear rumors of the swords getting confiscated and decided to leave the important blades behind?

Hey lightbringer I’ve been sticking pictures of the game of thrones characters all over my neighbourhood for a while now and it’s a little bit of a hobby now specially because people haven’t been taking them down, I’ve wrote on the back of them with my phone number saying if they find 10 cards I’ll give them a prize 😂 I’ll keep you posted if someone wins the game.. is it possible that they are not technically bastards, maybe Rhaenyra married harwin just like she married daemon, it would have to be a valyrian wedding meaning harwin forsaked the old gods for rhaeynra and harwin does seem the type that forsake his gods for the princess probably had a falling out with larys, seeing as larys is maybe a warg and has connection to the old gods, would they be strongs or targeryons or the same deal like with the veloryons, rhaeynra did say all it mattered was that they were targeryons, but doubtful sense it doesnt really matter for the story, but would make for sense for her to do

Harwin and the Strongs don't follow the Old Gods, they follow the Seven. And there is no evidence of Larys being religious let alone following the Old Gods. Rhaenyra could not have married Harwin because she was married to Laenor, and polygamy had been unacceptable in Westeros since the time Maegor tried to do it.
