I work in a thrift store, and a few things I have purchased there are: A stuffed animal that looks like some weird sort of bird and is labeled as a Blufadoodle. A cookbook whose focus is on organ meat. A digital clock that displays military time. A toy snake that appears to have been designed to wrap around your arm. An entire book about Winfield Hancock, who came very close to being elected president of the United States.

At a thrift store i went to recently I actually picked up my Halloween costume and formal dress for the next few years (same dress. I was a prom queen vampire) its an absolutely gorgeous sleeveless maroon dress with embroidery around the top and other areas. For a thrift store it was abnormally good quality, only one stain about the size of a grain of rice and it was easily hidden by one of the dresses layers. I could have also gotten a wedding dress but no matter how hard I tried to fit into it I couldn't squish myself enough, I was just to fat, but it was easily a 500 dollar wedding dress that was being sold for 25 in almost perfect condition. Definitely going back there for dresses

In some places human remains are not to be sold. I was in a place one time when skeletons were removed. It was to be tested to see if it was Native American. If memory serves me right one may have been a medical school specimen but both were removed. The owner got off with a warning. He was using them as Halloween decorations and they weren’t really for sale. Had they been for sale, he may have had to pay a hefty fine.

I found an old wooden file cabinet at Goodwill a couple of years ago. The paint was decent and I could have used it to store lots of stuff, but I just didn't have any space to place it and use it, so I had to let it go. Never seen another one like it and it was 30 dollars. I would have stripped it back to bare wood and stained it/ clear coated it and designed some minimal pinstripe detailing. And it would have been fantastic. Just proves I need more space.
