i personally main bdo atm but i can admit osrs is one of the best mmorpgs in the scene right now. edit: wait why is osrs in "not pay to win" category lol you can literally buy bonds (membership) and sell them on the market for in game gold lol

I absolutely love the Blue's rant on runescape. back like in 2005, my friends all were playing it and asking me everyday to play it and i was playing Lineage 2 at the time and literally thought like "with those graphics, theres absolutely no chance to play that Sh*t."

Depends on what you're looking for in combat, but I much prefer Lost Ark over FFXIV - much more dynamic, whereas the latter can get bogged down with routine rotations.

If you combine the graphics and combat from bdo with the exploration and open world group event of gw2, you would get an S tier game.

OSRS is so good ngl, it's the only MMO that felt immersive to me (graphics aren't everything) Like in BDO, you go to a new area, and you see the another 100 monsters just standing there waiting to be grinded, and you just autopath through them with no sense of danger In Runescape, the moment you go down a ladder or something, you have no idea what could be down there, and you could be one shot, but there could be super valuable ores and powerful gear that the monsters could drop which could instantly make you stronger That gave a sense of exploration and danger that BDO never gave

Blade and Soul had the best pvp of any game until ncsoft ruined the game even BDO pvp is not on par with Blade and Soul PVP the p2w went hard and pretty much killed the whole pvp in BG and arena which wasnt gear based was killed off by taking away the good rewards that came with doing pvp

Lost ark has more issues than p2w and bots, lots of shitty systems, voice acting, story and daily homework. Combat, raids, dungeons, graphics is what it has going for it. Although most of the good parts still put away many people because it's too punishing and leads to gatekeeping and toxicity.

osrs is genuinely an s tier mmo... runescape 3 on the other hand should be in C or D. not B. also... BDO I'd say is a B+ Mmo... it could easily be an S Tier... But... that's never going to happen with Pearl Abyss... they were ambitious with their graphic, combat, world/immersion but not much else...

i know this a bdo channel but eso is not worse than bdo, i play both games for different reasons you cant really compare the 2 and say bdo is better because it has better combat because eso has a much better world and questing experience and much better group content. both games are fun for different reasons and sure if you only care about good combat then for YOU bdo is 100% better.

Eso is a great game but can get overwhelming with the sheer amount of quests and areas to explore. Bdo has great combat and life skilling but the grind is crazy. I love both games but I would put bdo slightly above Eso. They both do great things and are well polished games but for me bdo just goes a little bit better.

If you play BDO anything other than combat you are doing it wrong and players are already aware of it. Also the player count is the same since 2018 so there is no sinking going on like you imply. Obviously players love to bitch about patch notes and complain all the time because that's what we do. As for being shallow, yes I agree but even a game like WoW used to have the best story but do you know what they did in Shadowlands? They gave Sylvanas an extra chromosome and turned Arthas into a fart cloud. I would rather have my game be shallow than have a masterpiece ruined by devs who mistreat their employees.
