I think this is such a great game. The simplicity of the mechanics is just genius

I like that it’s sort of like a puzzle-y, tile laying version of “Welcome To…” and I like that it’s a race to fill the board with a clear winner instead of having to calculate points to determine the winner. Really easy to just simply say “let’s play again” almost immediately after finishing a game.

Nice playthrough. I've played it a lot on BGA, and it looks like a fun play with a physical copy too. The Bruno Cathala variant (take an additional turn if you have 2 identical diagonally-adjacent numbers) makes it more fun.

That's a great variant on BGA!

Great video guys, I love it when you pull out a slightly older game to play. This game has been in my sights for quite some time, a bit like Jaws by Ravensburger, but, and just like Jaws, keeps getting pushed back a month as some other game catches my eye, and it's just the one I simply can't live without. But all hope isn't lost, Jaws finally joined my little collection about a week ago, and Lucky Numbers will too in the not too distant future, just not this month... Great team this time, combining with a good game to make a thoroughly enjoyable episode - great job and thanks for posting!

Brilliant play by Lincoln at 15:24. He knew the 18 would come back around to him because everyone else’s high corner is well established.

Is there a way of knowing which are 6's and which are 9's? Is there a clear way of knowing the orientation of those tiles?
@begibegi8011
@begibegi8011 Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is. You can even see it on the video (depending on how good your eyesight is I guess :) ), but every 6 and 9 has a line under the number for that reason.

Great playthrough but I felt ta times yoi were all trying to get numbers next to each other instead of spreading out and filling in as you go along. A few great placement opportunities were missed.

wasnt this played before but 1 vs 1 on a Game Night Date Night? Around 31 50 Deborah draws a 10 but could she have used it next to the 5 in the top row? Im probably misunderstanding the rules for placement
@scotthenderson1762
@scotthenderson1762 Жыл бұрын
No. I think you're correct she could have played the 10 in the top corner, but I think she was thinking she'd be limited in what she might be able to play below it. Then she drew the 11.
@benji68
@benji68 Жыл бұрын
She would have needed a 11-14 below it anyway, so she should have placed it.
@pterrok5495

Yeah, she could have used the 10 there. And Nikki should have taken the face up 19, but she waited for Lincoln to take it and discard an 18 until she saw she could place that--but the 19 would have let an 18 fit under it.

I must have missed something... why are there 4 different colours of tokens?

I've had a few games where we did run out of tiles. So it can happen.

What does the note mean at the beginning of gameplay when you said there was a mistake made ? Are you saying that you should divide them into different colors before picking initial tiles ? I don’t see that in the rules.
@MengTaing
@MengTaing Жыл бұрын
It’s in the Game Setup section: Use one complete set of Clover tiles (= 1 color numbered from 1 to 20) per player.
@elgmd

Yes , so what mistake did they make ? The example in the rule book has a start where two of the numbers are the same .

@@elgmdThis is not a mistake. Double-numbers during set-up is allowed.

I am watching this game and I am confused about their choices. E.g. 31:42 why can't You put that 10 in top right corner? And these 2 games are full of this type of cunfusing moments.
