Hey Lucky, drill a hole at the end of each tyne, so you can drop a pin into them. Stops the straps sliding off the end of the forks and doesn't affect functionality. I used to fit aftermarket trays all the time, the pin saved some embarrassing discussions about damaged cab bulkheads....

Wonder if taking the bumper and brackets off and sliding the tank in so the tank shelves are on top of the bottom half of the frame is an option? Bolts fall or are taken out, tank doesn't fall and can't be taken. Once the bed is on off course.

Love your stuff! Side note, I also like how your exhaust is mounted. Do you get many fumes in the cab with it there? Looks clean and don’t need to run it near the relocated fuel tank either.

Thanks for the Video.... Great install. Just a safety suggestion... In the future when you use straps like that, C-clamp them to the forks so they don't slip and drop whatever you are moving... Been there and done that. Regards.

Yeah agree with you on that. Also should just use the straps not the ratchet end. Ask me how I know. 😜

Seems most vids are 5 to 7 minutes and every now and then you do 14 to 18 minutes and we really like those so I'm sure I'm not the only one that likes what you do and love the vehicles you drive.. Anyways thumbs up if lucky should have his own show or do longer vids lol. Just busting balls man no big deal but I do think there's a show there if you had another guy like Finnegan or Freiburger lmao ohhh what a show it be..maybe join road kill .love that episode..ok man stay safe and always remember never crushem restorem

I'd add a rubber strip between the aluminum tank and the steel frame rail. you get some funky corrosion when those two metals meet. Stainless hardware helps that situation as well!

I'm curious about how the tank performs. I installed a similar tank from Rhodes Race cars and it is a disappointment. At 1/4 tank, i fill it and it only takes 9-10 gallons. Also baffles dont work as well at 1/4 tank, sump runs dry after a long right turn with excelleration. That's with running an external pump with EFI. I actually had more range and better performance with the in-cab tank.

Since you are a electrical wizard can you please make a quick video about how to properly cut out old wires for sensors that you're not using when swapping Motors so I'm not just snipping them off and leaving them maybe with electrical tape on them like I have been doing for years I'm doing a motor swap into C10 right now I got a bunch of wires from old sensors I'm not using I'd like to do it right that would be amazing thank you I love all your videos

Totally Fake , everyone knows that there is a Tesla motor in there and there is no need for a fuel tank , I have a 67 C-10 small rear window , 292 straight 6 cylinder engine , 11 inch heavy duty clutch , 3 speed trans , 12 bolt rear end

Classic performance products (CPP) Fits good easy install and good for a daily driver but after I added boost and driving a little harder in the corners I noticed the fuel pickup would go dry so tank needs more baffling for that kind of driving. I’m installing a Ricks Tanks in the near future.
@invisableobserver2 жыл бұрын
@@luckysgarageshow Thank you for replying. Buying CPP products is a mistake we often make to save money. I think all of us C10 owners should do a class action lawsuit against CPP and also summit racing for selling inferior & unsafe auto parts.
