Good reaction! I agree with everything that you said about Lucy's voice and the way she sang this song. Lucy has a beautiful voice as you said. I think she is the best I have ever heard with the range going into those very low soothing notes, and then up to those clear high notes. I have found that when I am stressed, I just have to listen to Lucy sing and I become relaxed. I listen to Lucy right before I go to bed, too, and fall right to sleep. Of course, all of this listening includes the duets with Martha!❤😊

Lucy ,as you said , is amazing. She has not a " special" voice like others. She has an extremely feminine, wonderful and powerful voice. A voice that wrap you in sensations of tenderness and love. Someone asked in the comments for a live performance by Lucy. There is not many that I know of. Her family kept her quite close. Good. She is now in college, almost 19, practicing for her theater debut, and still giving us Xmas presents like this. I only have two live shows of hers. Actually filmed at the same charity event. I've never been a fan of Judy Garland, the real-life person. But I'm a huge fan of Judy Garland, the actress & singer! Hope that makes sense! I LOVE the movie "Meet Me in St. Louis"! My kids & I watched it many times during Christmas season when they were growing up. This song is iconic, and Lucy Thomas just absolutely puts her magical, beautiful, crowning touch on it here -- as she does 100% of her songs! I also love hearing Karen Carpenter and Johnny Mathis sing it. Have a wonderful Christmas holiday!

The TV looks more like a microwave oven. 🙂 Lucy enjoying Christmas singing from her home living room. It’s warm and cosy. I personally take a long time to appreciate a song and it can take even a year. I could never give a true opinion from listening just once, or even half a song. So a good idea to revisit previous reactions later after much listening, and it would then be a review rather than a reaction. ‘The Prayer’ is so complex that too needs detail explaining, and deserves an award when all considered. Have you ever done an Estonian week? My favourite band and female singer for over 20 years is Estonian. Lucy reminds me of a young Lenna and I can link a live video of her singing this song live. She’s not got the voice of Lucy, but as you’ve said it’s not just about the voice or song. I’m here for Lucy so not suggesting others in a main comment, but if you are interested I’ll give in the reply. 😉
