Love watching your camping videos, they're super relaxing! Found your advice about snakes really valuable - writing down directions to the nearest vet is something I will be doing from now on as a shepherd owner myself who loves being out in the Australian bush! Great advice!

Thanks for taking us all along on this adventure. And failing to plan, is planning to fail. We've always had a pet first aid kit at home and in the vehicle for our dogs. And always, plenty of good quality water for them when traveling and at home. You're an excellent, responsible pet parent who will no doubt be an excellent, responsible parent to your daughter. Absolutely brilliant video Zac! The camera work and drone shots were jaw dropping (again sorry to hear of its crashing!). The sound editing was simply sublime (I Would love to know where you find such inspirational music)! Reading the comments I almost had a hart attack thinking Lucy had been bitten by a snake! I even had a hard time waiting for the end but was very relieved to find out it was only a (if this happens scenario)! Excellent discussion and what to do advice, by the way. Here in the US the most deadly snake is the Diamond Back Rattler due to the fact that they have very distinct markings on their backs and a rattle on the end of their bodies. They are polite enough to rattle and warn those approaching with it when they feel threatened. So we’re very lucky in that we’re able to train our dogs to avoid and stay away from that particular sound! Even so when I used to take extended back packing and horse packing trips in the way out back country with my dogs in areas where these snakes are known to be; I would always go to my Vet and he would sell me a few doses of anti venom for me to administer to my dogs or friends whom happened to have been bitten. We did know each other well and he was aware that I was a paramedic and was trained in giving different types of injections. He did explain to me how to dose it by general weight of whomever was bitten. I’m only saying this as a suggestion that if you explained your situation to your vet they might be willing to do the same for you or Felicity (in that she is trained to give injections).

Lucy is a gorgeous GSD. I have a 4 year old male GSD named Gus (Gustav). You're going to be a stellar Dad. Just the amount of preparation you've done with if Lucy was bit by a snake and having the directions handwritten is awesome. I bet many people don't think of this, I know I definitely didn't think of this. Camping sites near me are very close to Vet clinics, but someday I may not be. Great video, and give Lucy a big hug from me in the USA.
