Your CK3 game ended in September 1444, and the EU4 save starts in November 1444. So the most plausible explanation for what happened to your development is that pretty much everyone went "reject civilization, return to monkey", in the span of a month or 2.

Jazira became a vassal because you click on the option in converter settings. Its made for balance-ish but you can start with all of the land directly own by you if you want.

The converter is one of the greatest mods for CK3/EU4 I love making roleplay mega campaigns. EDIT: Make sure to clean up all opm’s or border gore cuz in Vic2 and Hoi4 the AI will not take care of them.

As it turns out, I've just started translating a paper that mentions Lipovans. They are basically ethnic Russians who left Russia after the reforms of patriarch Nikon. Today they mostly live in Romania (the paper was specialized in Romanian Lipovans and their cultural exchange with Romanians and their belief systems).

Playing tall while being the biggest country in the world is a terrifying feat if I do say so myself. I'm honestly excited to see how all of this progresses until HOI4. I have no doubts in the Roman Empire's ability to come out victorious in the world wars to come, but will they be as successful ~255 years after they unify the planet? What will their civics be? An authoritarian + fanatic materialist civilization would be quite fitting I think, because the government is so "obsessed" with efficiency from its territories, they would be dying to construct galactic wonders (dyson spheres, matter decompressors, ring worlds, etc.) everywhere they can. But this is your Mega Campaign and it's still very entertaining so far.

You're right about the US in most regards, only we aren't getting richer, our nation is already $26.7 trillion (yes, trillion) in debt, and our federal budget is approaching twice what the federal government brings in ($4 trillion income, $6.8 trillion spent last year). If we got rid of our entire military budget we would still be spending about 50% more than our federal income (less than $800 billion in military budget, including foreign military aid). Inflation is soaring- the government admitted to 7.5% last year, but if you use the 2007 standards for calculating interest it's 15%, and if you use the standards for calculating interest before the Carter presidency it's closer to 30-35% inflation. i wish georgia was a formable colonial nation since we were established as a buffer state against Florida and actually initially were governed by a group of trustees banning alcohol and the practice of slavery initially so we're interesting enough in my opinion. I converted in 1444 exactly. I found out why after, aparently the converter I used gives 1 development for each building, it doesnt care what development I had in ck3 sadly :(

doubt youll see this but normans were the people who kicked the Byzantines out of italy and their last city in western europe. starting in 999 normans would come in and conquer Sicily and southern italy until 1139. since you mentioned norman culture in italy being strange
