In order for Krato’s to be considered a “god” he would need human worship. That’s what allows the gods to have immortality (they used to drink/eat ambrosia for immortality but that became obsolete when they received worship) but it’s conditional immortality meaning they can still be killed they just won’t die of old age or sickness. During GOW 2018 Krato’s would be considered a god because of all the praise he would have received for killing the gods of Olympus. It gets confusing after the thousand year time skip but hopefully this clears up a small amount of the Krato’s lore

If you are able to play the games the story will make a lot more sense, this is a very very very quick speed through of the story and the events that take place through the course of every game in the original series which is like 4 or 5 different games in total which consists of the three main games and a couple side games that explain more of the story.
