A big reason why games suddenly come to an end around the 25 minute mark after a lost teamfight is because of death timers. Back in the day it was pretty common for games to take up to 35-40 minutes, sometimes even an hour. That does still happen today, but it's less common and only happens if the players are either too smart to die or somehow unable to finish. Riot decided that the games should finish more quickly and that mistakes in late game should be catalysts for ending the game. So Riot changed the death timers to go up a lot in late game so the winners would get more and more time to get objectives and demolish the opponents' base. That's also why dragon soul is so strong, because they want the team that managed to secure enough objectives to have a serious advantage so they can finish the game - unless the other team makes an insane comeback.

"the elo i should be at" is about the same mentality as all of his teammates xdd . Honestly though, his technical knowledge is there already - its just mechanics and the "beginner fear" players start to have when their mechanics arent catching up to the knowledge they've gained. (players who understand nothing, fear nothing - this is the opposite) Best part of jungling (in lower elo) is not needing to do wave management and cs'ing after all. Fighting is the fun part of this game, and jungling allows you to pretty much to be an idle gamer and then suddenly switch on your high octane montage making brain before going back to idle gaming again.
@JanDarkyy2 ай бұрын
I think in ANY elo jungles struggle with when they should stop being afk and actively look for initiations, this game completely went off his hands he just went afk farming and joined too late , Caedrel says it is a low elo thing and it is NOT! Im in master elo and this sht happens always , I ping to group aram (for baron timing) and enemy jg keeps farming and its an easy win for me even when they had soul
@Skyflairl2p2 ай бұрын
@@JanDarkyy I mean I don't disagree per say, though It's a bit different in high elo. For example, In low elo players typically only play around their full rotation, just randomly stumbling upon ganks if it happens to be possible whenever they are close-by. They rarely set-up plays and get lost in their own as well as the enemy jungle constantly. Ludwig shows this as well, his ganks are never really planned as of yet - He does check the lanes a bit now, but largely the ganks I've seen are just coincidental, like "oh these two are fighting and im just walking by, guess i'll just join in!" Whereas at least in high elo (D2+ it becomes more apparent) Junglers prioritize clearing, but play around their spikes (as you would, if you know the game/your champ well) and try to gank the lanes that should get ahead, rather than at random. Of course, even in masters you get boosted af players on an ego trip, only having climbed by OTP'ing some dumbass champ and the second they get on one of their second-hand champs they play like they are still in gold 4. These people have mechanics but legit only think about their own scaling and gold, much like caedrel kind of insinuates ludwig should play (dont care about others because they fucking suck) which obviously caedrel knows is a disaster in high elo, but it's fine in low elo. ..as everyone literally fucking sucks. Im a sup/jg player so I naturally gravitate towards helping lanes, took a good while to find the right balance of clearing jg and active ganking, but I find it wins more games than focusing solely on carrying the game myself (even on most assassins as they do fall off late-game if you stall even for a moment with a lead). Sorry for the long text, I tend to spill my thoughts into replies sometimes lol. Regardless, I think any true high-elo jg knows not only their own champ spikes but their laners (and enemy laners) so they can accurately time their ganks to prevent the game slipping away. You can see it with some of the best junglers in our region too, like elyoya and razork, and yike when he's forced on a non-carry jg (otherwise mans just ganking for laughs). It just leads to much more fear for the enemy laner, and has the enemy jungler working overtime trying to match. Though some games, you just gotta go all in yourself - if your laners are just completely running it even with your help lol.
@SiMeGamer2 ай бұрын
As much as I agree that Ludwig seems to have improved quite a bit, saying his "technical knowledge" is there is not it. He doesn't look enough at the map as a jungler (not easy to do) and he has no clue what half the champs still do which makes it almost impossible to improve mechanically. Mechanics are important when you know when to use them. If he doesn't know that Kha'Zix can jump over the wall or that Brand can skillshot him for a stun or that his teammate has a root he can follow up on, he cannot utilize whatever hypothetical mechanical knowledge he acquired. League of Legends is a game of anticipation. You have to know what is possible to make the best decision with the information you have. He is lacking absolutely fundamental information. "How do I know if they do magic damage or cc" when Caedrel talked about the boots purchase - THAT is what he has to fix first. Learning what every champion does. Not fully. Just fundamentally. If he plays Amumu he HAS TO know that Veigar cage stops him during he Q - Bandage Toss dash. No amount of dragons or gold or "macro" or mechanics will help him there. He has to know to wait for it to disappear and then use his mechanics. Luckily for Ludwig, this is the easiest stuff to learn. You play a match, and then something happens that you didn't anticipate, you make a mental note and review that one thing and move to the next match. Slowly you build the required game knowledge and you start seeing patterns: "Oh, Veigar cage will stop my Lucian from following up on my R+Flash, so, I should wait and save it for a better opportunity when it's on cooldown!" This is all instinct. You can't think about it in the moment. But you develop that instinct by playing and reviewing and learning, one mechanic at a time. One interaction at a time. One tip at a time. And over weeks, months and years you get much better. Ludwig lacks massively in every aspect of the game. The idea of him wanting to chill and get red when his team is fighting is just as much a mistake on his part as it is on theirs. He did not ping them off. He did not communicate his own intentions. And in higher ranks he will NEVER be at such an advantage because he isn't good enough to generate such a lead against better players. It's the classic fallacy of "I was right - I deserve to be in a better rank." No you don't. Because in a better rank you won't get to even make such an analysis. And sadly for many more casual players, you don't win the game by doing nothing. And many people are bored of shoving waves and setting vision. The ones who adapt to the chaos, win. Waiting in the bush for Kha'Zix, in any rank, is boring. But if you can't embrace patience and a more tactical approach, either switch to a different champion (like Yasuo where you can fight) or keep losing. Ludwig is scared but he is playing an engage champion - that doesn't work. Either face your fears and limit test and review or pick something that is actually afk like Karthus and farm away forever. League is an extremely complex game. Ludwig is awful at pretty much every aspect. There is potential to improve a lot. From the two reviews I've seen he already got much better, but it's still a drop in the bucket. If he keeps this up, he will easily hit Gold in a year. I believe he can do it and it would be awesome. But a little bit of mechanics will not do jack sht if his fundamental knowledge is lacking. He needs to know what champions are capable of (no need to study before the match, just review after) and play a lot to get a better feel for those pieces of knowledge. He needs to face more Veigars until he instinctively feels that cage coming up and what to do while in it and the rough cooldown. So all he has to do now is just play more and review what he unsure about. Getting a tip here and there is fantastic too (like Caedrel explaining the Baron and Dragon wards, for example). I played and still play League for over 12 years and it's wonderful seeing people get better at it when they are new. I remember struggling for 7 months in Bronze in season 3 because I refused to learn and just spammed games. For 9 years after I was stuck in Platinum because I never bothered to sit down and improve. I just spammed games. The moment I started taking the game seriously, I got to high Plat and the season after I managed not only Diamond but Master and have been there ever since, improving after every single match. Really tough to improve since I just don't play enough to get my reps in but it's still really enjoyable. And I got new people to play League and helping them improve from nothing is wonderful and makes the game feel even better to play. Ludwig has a massive road ahead of him if he stays on the League path of improvement. But it's so rewarding. Especially for him since he can look back so easily as a content creator and he has the chance to inspire others which is a cool bonus. First he needs fundamental game knowledge, get the reps in and improve his mechanics alongside it here and there. That will get him to high Bronze maybe and then he needs to start looking at slightly more intricate details and patterns of big mistakes. But he can definitely get to Gold if he keeps up this pace. I'm not a fan of his but I hope he can get some new life into League since it's a game I love so much and want to see more of the newer generation getting into it. Makes it all more fun, y'know?
@Skyflairl2p2 ай бұрын
@@SiMeGamer Yes, in my second reply I went over many of these points! Obviously, when I mean "technical knowledge" I mean he *understands* what he *should* do *as a jungler*, his muscle memory isnt up to par with it. And when i say mechanics, im referring to game mechanics! He's obviously still low elo in terms of overall ability. I was just pointing out that his understanding of the fundamental gameplay loop is there, and from the sound of it - he gets what he needs to do to improve (after just 12 games! .. with caedrel's insight and chat constantly flaming him.. so with a little help.) I obviously didnt mean he understands every champ yet, or item building for that matter (clearly haha.. "why shouldnt i build steelcaps?? its what it says I should do!" he probably hasnt even taken the time to read most abilities of the two champs he does play or item passives yet. Let alone learn about champs you dont know yet! Aram is great for that, which is how I learned most interactions with all the different champs. I was a support main playing rakan/thresh/bard/lux pretty much exclusively. I understood interactions pretty much only in the botlane and just "Kinda" in other lanes. Then I learned from pro play, then i started just playing aram as it was less taxing and toxic. And after a break, on and off on aram with friends - I've got mastery 5 at minimum on every champ, and can play them all at some level of comfort (fuck enchanters though i want to actually play). And as a result im climbing ranked like its no problem (mixing pro play knowledge and champion knowledge for map control, and overall mechanics from just having fun) win-win. Point is, I fully agree with you. Play more, learn more. It's 165+ champs now iirc, which is crazy to learn in soloqueue imo. I think he should do some arams to churn out quick games and learn a bit about different champs in fights (its faster that way), i mean he's jungling anyway! Aram is literally just a boost, no need to worry cs'ing, no need to worry about objectives. Just pure fighting. Then after like 50 arams, back to soloqueue for a bit and repeat. I genuinely dont take aram seriously at all, its just a limit testing tool vs actual people lol. Obviously its just a 5v5, but it still works to test out some mechanics you absolutely will need on the rift too. (I jungle now, which is basically supercharged supports so it works great for me)
@SiMeGamer2 ай бұрын
@@Skyflairl2p I completely disagree about ARAM. I find ARAM just makes you worse. All champs are calibrated differently in terms of balance and you look at the game way off. You don't need to play other champs either. Just keep playing Amumu and learn the interactions. You don't need ARAM to learn that Vaigar has a line skillshot, an AoE delayed meteor, a stun cage and a point and click ultimate. You can look at your own replay and read the abilities quickly. You don't need details. Just the gist. He is not at a level where it matters that Veigar's ult does execute damage (the lower you are the stronger it is) or that if he farms or hits you he gets AP. It doesn't affect him as Amumu. He just needs to know what to anticipate as far as the skillshots, CC and mobility are concerned. Maybe also make a mental note that he does magic damage so buying items is slightly easier but it's not critical. And I, again, disagree that he knows what to do as a jungler. He is completely lost at certain portions. He heard on KZbin that jungler's in low ranks lose because they don't base, which while true for the most part, doesn't matter. Because basing needs a reason. If you have full resources, everything is on the map, you don't need to quickly move to the other side and you can't buy a big component/item, then backing makes no sense. Caedrel also talks about some super advanced tactics which could actually make him worse because they require too much extra understanding. Farm, see if you can get objectives, gank a bit, get to 20 minutes and play with your team. Look around more, be more decisive, just buy stuff in the shop, doesn't matter what, just don't waste time. He needs to get some basic game loop going but he is overcomplicating it. ARAM for a jungler does nothing. It's a waste of time. Is it fun? Yes. But compared to just trying a champion in Practice Tool or reading their abilities it's a mega waste of time. Just play. There are champs he will almost never meet, like Kled, so even though it's good to know what they do, it's a waste of time when champs like Veigar, Kha'Zix and Brand exist that he will see a lot. If I was his coach, I would just have him play and learn as he goes. Wasting time in ARAM is too expensive. Does it teach you what champs do? A little, sure. But in the context of Summoner's Rift where something like Anivia requires feeling out in what areas she performes best at and how to gank her and that she has passive to take into account, ARAM is not going to give you that. He needs to keep playing, keep failing and making big mistakes so he can review and learn. And I'm talking 1-3 minute reviews. Just go over the points where you were confused. That's it. No need to look at the minutia. Get a better feel for the game. There is almost no time to think in League. It's too fast. You have to develop instinct. ARAM makes you worse at that. If you enjoy playing the mode, sure, go ahead. But know that it does not make you a better Jungle Amumu player. He just needs to play more Summoner's Rift. That's it.

Faster. No afk. Be there. You miss that baron fight for no reason and then say why would they fight when im not there. You have 0 reason not to be there.

you never understand why someone is iron until Caedrel says the most basic thing possible and he asks "why?"
@ch4z_bucks9 күн бұрын
I think it's fair to ask why, it's one thing to know what he did wrong in that moment/what he should have done differently in that moment. It's another thing entirely to know why it's bad so he can avoid similar poor mistakes in the future

@ch4z_bucks9 күн бұрын
I disagree. It's understandable for people starting out to play the way Ludwig does, and then to not really know what he's doing wrong. It also doesn't help that in my opinion, jungle is one of the harder lanes to play both in solo queue and as a beginner. There's a lot of things to keep track of, and for a new or inexperienced player it can be overwhelming, making it easier to make mistakes or not capitalise on what in hindsight would be obvious opportunities.

and locked is for noobs, I do a thing that's somewhere in between: space to toggle unlock and lock so I can control whenever I need to hit something long range or check areas while cozy locked when I don't need to. Probably still less efficient than perma unlocked but super comfy.

ludwig genuinely being one of the worst players of this game on the planet, pausing a former pro who is (very kindly) explaining things to interject with his own insights, is why he is going to be hard-stuck bronze for a decade like qt.

Yeah like Caedrel's critiques and advices are soooo true and useful but sometimes Ludwig just inserting himself like he did nothing wrong is kinda weird if not annoying

Nah Ludwig will easily reach gold and plat pretty fast, emerald if he tries, then idk
@HoangNguyen-se9dg2 ай бұрын
@@cordenhumanYou are insane. He doesn't know 95% of the champions. To get past Silver as a new player, you at minimum need to know every champion and all 4 of their skills. That's going to take him like a year, less if he spams the game but it would still be something like ~200 games. If you want to call yourself good, you then at minimum need to know roughly how much damage each champion does at each stage of the game, factoring in different builds. You need to know this because otherwise, how do you know when to fight or when not to fight? You will miss an insane amount of kills and die unnecessarily. That's another ~200 games. At this point, if you are talented/have coaching, you may be able to hit Plat if you main a couple of strong champions. I don't see Ludwig hitting gold anytime before 200 more games, unless he actually studies and goes in practice tool and shit. Source - former collegiate player (obviously was dogshit compared to pros but still much better than the average player)

@@baebae9690typical new player sort of thing, I do think he's internalising a lot of the critique, I just think sometimes he's confused about what makes his plays bad plays versus good plays at a bad time or something like that. These are easy mistakes
