@@BasicEconomics so I bought Socialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysis. The two Prefaces and Introduction alone are damning. I was blown away how relevant that is today and he explained the premise behind today's RINO Republicans and Uni-party structure that I now find the America First agenda fighting back against. And he wrote that many decades ago and likely knew it a century ago. So absolutely amazing. I thank you for this video as it opened up some knowledge and now i hear other commentators talk about Misesian Economics and I can relate.

The little that I learned about socialism from him was a game-changer for me. Because of the monopolistic power of any government run economy, there is no price signal from a competitive market place to determine the true value of any good or service, so the supply and demand is never balanced.

Hayek's knowledge problem and Mises' economic calculation in a socialist commonwealth argument are the death knells of the ideology of Socialism. There is only capitalism and degrees of interference with its function. Private property is a socially evolved technology that is necessary for the rise of the extended division of labor. Hence, Mises's recognition that Socialism achieves nothing but the total disintegration of society. After my readings of the episodes of the forerunners of the Bolshevik Communists, its clear that all Socialism actually achieves is centralization of control over property. In my opinion, some have recognized the persuasive power of socialists political propaganda and deploy precisely for the purpose of centralizing power in their hands. They could give a shit about the masses. They loath them and view them as clay to mold to their ideological visions.
