This was one of the best Zeus missions we have had in a long time, unfortunately I couldn't stream yesterday as all the excessively late nights editing and playing have caught up to me, only so many 4am nights in a row you can do without it taking a toll. Try my hardest to put out as much content as possible but its exhausting sometimes. @39:48 it was a helo crash that killed me and all of my men.@48:51 Also as you well know, I don't get to pick where the helo puts us down. Not when the pilots are not on TS. They will say that they where but nobody in Bravo squad was able to hear or communicate with them. I noticed those craters from the arty and I was concerned that this was not a good location. As for why we stayed there so long, all I can say is fog of war. We would pick guys up in preparation to move only to be struck with another salvo. It's pretty terrifying when you hear that coming in. In fact at one point I was down the hill only to be carried back up it by a well meaning if not misguided teammate. Hats off to bishop and the others in my squad, you all fought bravely. @57:18 we did finally manage to get off, and I was not surprised that we got hit again. That squad who was on that hill to our front and west was keeping us pinned in that position. Was a great mission LT, one for the books. Thank you again for all the work you put in to make this possible for everyone.

51:35, going prone actually does help you to survive artillery strikes, because of the way arma 3 simulates shrapnel in explosions, a prone unit can survive much more explosive power than a standing one, regardless of the size of the explosive, going prone helps.

Hey LT, was a really fun OP and glad it was one of the few that I could come to, the mission was really fun! I was UAV op for the mission, I remember the Artillery being a constant pain, as I didn't want to lase them myself and hit them, as that's no fun for anyone, but no one would lase them and the arty was going to keep pummeling them. Took far too long for me to realize this looking back. Oh, and did you miss when I bombed a flying Kajman out of the air during the first mission of the night :D!

"Artillery Tank" lol - Two types of artillery: 1) Towed & 2) Self-Propelled. Your "Artillery Tank" is an armoured, self-propelled, artillery unit. Pretty much all self-propelled units are armoured whilst most towed units are unarmoured. Just saying. Love the vids - keep them coming 🙂.

Hello Luetin, I go by Sneezing African in game and in Teamspeak, and I enjoy playing your missions. Watching your streams days after they've occurred and playing in them when I am available has given me some sort of odd mission making inspiration, and I actually do think I have a pretty decent idea for a mission and I'd like to run it by you. The only problem is, I have skills equivalent to a caveman when it comes to using the Arma editor. The new Eden update has barely helped, as I was only able to lay in the very basics of the mission. By that, I mean I chose the location, put in the objective piece, and two squads, nothing much. I may work on it later this week but running the idea by you is something I'd prefer, as you could easily just make the mission in Zeus on EU2. There are no bases, no buildings required to be pre-made in the editor and copied/pasted into the server through Zeus. It is a different mission concept from what is normally featured, but is nothing totally outrageous. I definitely think it is a mission you would enjoy building and a mission you and your viewers would enjoy watching as it unfolds. It's a win/win for both parties, I imagine you are open to new missions and trying new fun stuff in Zeus and I am just looking to see how this mission can be implemented in EU2 Zeus and how it could play out. Hopefully you see this post and have interest in trying it out. I am available to hop in the Ahoyworld TS at almost any time, whatever is convenient for you, so we can discuss the details of the mission. If you're feeling up to doing another Zeus mission on EU2 on this upcoming Friday (the 26th), then I will be in the Ahoyworld TS anywhere from 21:00 GMT until after the missions are over. Before you start streaming we can hop into a side TS channel and talk it over and see what you think of it. I would prefer not to give the whole thing out to the KZbin comments, and it might be tricky to understand it thoroughly over a KZbin comment. Luetin, get v1.8.1 of Ares and save missions as "Save/Load -> Generate Mission SQF" into clipboard. Load via "Util -> Execute Code (Server)". This saves all 3 vectors properly (position, direction, UP angle), so you don't need to re-align stuff to ground. Note that loaded units aren't owned by Zeus, so you need to "Util -> Add Objects to Zeus" if you want that. It should also save waypoints, static MGs, markers, whatever you choose in the UI. To expand a bit more - if you Execute Code (Local), it will be as if you spawned the units via Zeus - they will be simulated on (local to) your PC and relayed through the server (lower server load, higher AI latency). Execute Code (Server) makes the server spawn the units, so they're local to it and controlled by it. Choose whichever you prefer.

Military member here: cluster bombs are not internationally illegal under any treaty. Completely legal munitions when used on lawful targets.

They are thus considered inhumane and are widely banned. Superpowers still want to retain the right to use them at any moment, but I believe USA has attempted to limit their use (can't cite this last one though).

US, Russia and China haven't accepted it, nor have Egypt, most of the Middle East, India, or Brazil. I'm imagining the only reason most of Europe have banned them is to save face and because their militaries are mere shadows of what they were in the Cold War anyway. I don't know if 'Mainly prohibited' is a good term. There are nations who have sworn off their use and nations who still see the tactical use of them when necessary. They are an invaluable anti-armor weapon for the price cost. That said, I was a Combat Engineer in the Army and it's basically guaranteed for at least 25% of the bomblets to not detonate, and that's being nice on the estimate. They're nasty weapons, but modern war is nasty.

Hey Luetin I liked the mission a lot. Personally I recommend you remake the KZbin intro so that it has the Zues lightning on every clip. (like the first clip). just think that that gives a nice nostalgic look to the Zues missions. This is your opinion but i would love you to spend time to do that intro

I play invade and annex on a server call NastyNAK it is fun but it is kinda repetitive and in a 60 person server there is not enough enemies to fight. It seams that by the time everyone gets to the AO CAS has already taken out a majority of the infy. Is there a server that you could suggest with larger AOs and or more AI.

+dutchygaming You can start with a tower for about $75. Graphics card is not the most important part of Arma by a longshot, but get a mid-upper level graphics card, something around $350, like the GTX 970 SSC ATX 2.0 as it will be important for games other than Arma. But the CPU is most important in Arma3. An Intel Core I5-6600K processor runs for about $250 on sale on Amazon right now and uses DDR4 RAM. Speaking of RAM, you'll want 16 GB of DDR4 RAM for about $75 on Amazon. A 250 GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD is $87 on Amazon and is what I recommend for storage. Later, you can upgrade or get more SSDs. For motherboard, I say the ASUS Z170, about $150 on Amazon, but make sure it supports DDR4 RAM. You'll want a good power supply, something made by Corsair with enough Watts to run your system, it'll be around $40-$70 on Amazon. That brings you to $1032, and thats still a very basic setup. You will likely need a surge protector to plug your PC into, as well as ethernet cables to run into the back of it. A good gaming monitor that runs at 1080p and 144Hz would be best, otherwise take a look at the 120 Hz 1080p monitors. Expensive, and I truly hope you get the 144Hz 1080p one, but if you can't afford either, then buying good stuff for your PC is pointless if your monitor isn't even good enough to display at a high refresh rate (FPS, or Hz). For a good keyboard, I suggest the Logitech G710 for $120. Corsair also makes great keyboards. Expensive, but my god are they good. For mice, I recommend something for gaming by Logitech for about $70. They just make great shit. Last thing is a headset. You could get a Logitech wired one for like $45, but I wouldn't get anything wireless, whether its a keyboard, mouse, or headset. Dealing with batteries and recharging stuff all the time is the absolute worst thing you could do. Yes, the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset are all going to go probably a total of $1500 if you add the PC build, but if you want to get the best out of Arma, try your hardest to save up some more money if you can and go for that build. You'll really like it, and you'll be able to get great frame rates in almost any game, and at least a decent frame rate in Arma 3 (no matter your build, you'll never get good frames in Arma). Unfortunately, good PC gaming equipment is always going to eat your wallet and there is absolutely no way around that if you want to get good performance and quality that will last you about 5-7 years before you'll need to upgrade anything again, especaily in Arma 3. Good luck and make sure you do your research.

Love? I think it's a fairly realistic portrayal of where tank tech might be in the future. The Merkava both looks cool and fits well with the near-future aesthetic. Plus Altis/Stratis also in the central/Eastern Mediterranean, which leads me to believe the Devs wanted to make it seem like the islands were in Israel's "sphere of influence" (hence the Tavor's inclusion), which isn't that unlikely.

Mission would've been better if you gave the good guys and bad guys more reinforcements. You gave all the good support to the bad guys and laughed at the good guys dying but didn't laugh at the bad guys dying, and you were also controlling the bad guys more.
