Not really, in the manga we knew the moment they show up that they were clones of the warlords, it was pretty obvious for most. We already had clones (Kuma), the revelation of King (Lunaries), so when children that looked like the warlords + lunaries apeared, there wasnt other explanations, it wasnt because it was explained in the manga that we knew, it was because it was impossible not to, yes, we had confirmation later, but we knew the moment we saw it

I love that already in Sabo, Ace and Luffy's flashback around episode 500, it was revealed that Luffy's dream was something different, yet almost none of us caught on. Then episode 1015 drove it in even further. And now we see that it's something grand and crazy! I love it so much!

If you read the spoilers before chapter release it was mentioned that a boa and mihawk seraphim showed up so it was easy for people to read and deduce oh yes that’s a younger version of mihawk. Boa’s was simple due to the snake earrings

I'm a manga reader and personally i didn't find any problem about your reactions. Sometimes people forget that you guys react to alot of shows and different people have different level of memory. Also when reading in manga, readers can often reread the same panel again in a short time. That's why its easier to analyze each panel and scene versus in anime form. Zoro really showed us again why he's the vice-captain of the ship. People really underestimate his IQ because of the whole getting lost thing, but he's always the most reasonable and open minded when it comes to some decisions Luffy needs to make. Not being emotionally driven, but thinking of what's best for the crew. It’s crazy, but in a way, you can say he gives the crew clear direction.

To be fair to SOME of the comments, none of that at the start was in the manga. Neither was the reveal or statement of the seraphim looking like Hancock as a child ever mentioned in the manga. Readers had no information about the Seraphim at this point. We could just immediately tell from design and theory that girl seraphim clearly was Boa Hancock based. Meaning, from old foreshadowing and information, these must be why they replaced the Warlords and that the one with the giant sword must be Hawkeye based (theory, but obvious). That's all the information readers had. I guess in a way, it was inadvertently spoiled, but manga wise, nothing was spoiled. The anime is fleshing out the arc in ways it wasn't in the manga due to slowing the pace of the anime catching up to the manga. Hope that clears it up a bit.

But roger never said that, before roger there was no king of pirates. Luffy's real dream is something that also was roger's real dream, which will only come true if he becomes the king of pirates. So he needs to find one piece to achieve his true dream.

It might have potentially even been foreshadowed earlier than this. And the fact that Luffy said, "I want to create a world where my friends can eat as much as they want!" to Kaido had everyone thinking that was his dream past becoming the Pirate King, only for Oda to make this panel right after Wano to be like, "Nah thats not it and I still ain't revealing it LOL." my theories are it being something like, "I want everyone to become Pirates!" or "I want to have a party with the entire world!" because in his mind Pirates are the epitome of freedom and the first panel is Luffy experiencing the joy of a party from the Red Haired Pirates and parties are synonymous with Pirates and it's even an anagram. It needs to be something a child Luffy could come up with, but also something Roger would say to Oden and WB. So either one of those make the most sense to me atm.

I think the reason people said "How did you not know that was so and so" Is because Oda actually came out in an SBS many years ago and released drawings of all Warlords as children. So just check the drawing Oda released and you'll see every Warlords as children.

No spoilers in this comment, just refreshing what happened hundreds of episodes ago. For the dream, this was already a thing from hundreds of episodes, but we just didn't know it was a dream. In the ASL flashback the scene that was flashbacked in this episode happened back then and many people thought it was just Luffy saying he's going to be king of the pirates, but this episode just confirmed it was something else. And in episode 1015 Ace tells Yamato what Luffy said was and it was also hidden in that scene so presumably it's about this dream, but interestingly Yamato connects it to Roger, because Oden must have wrote down that Roger said the same thing in his logbook. And back in Saobody, Rayleigh has a flashback of Shanks telling him that Luffy said the same thing as their captain which is almost certainly this dream. So we know this dream of Luffys is also something Roger dreamed of.

Yeah if you only watch the anime for one piece its going to be hard to catch on to everything like the seraphim being based of warlords because thru things like SBS for one piece we get extra info like oda drew all the warlords when they were kids so we know how they use to look. Can't blame the manga readers about the pacifista/seraphim because in the manga it's hard to tell they are Boa and Mihawk clone but in anime it's easy to tell by Hancock's earrings and Mihawk's sword. I guess the advantage to those who read mangas they notice little details that sometimes anime only watcher missed because in anime there's a lot of moving parts while in manga you can focus on every panel you're reading

What Luffy siad is the same thing that Roger said, that Oden wrote down in his Notebook. That's why when Ace told Yamato Luffy's dream, she had the vision of Luffy and Roger overlapping and started crying. Because Luffy and Roger have the same dream. Although none of us know what it is. Shanks does, that's why he cried when Luffy told him. He ddin't cry from laughter, he laughed because of how crazy it was Luffy had the same dream as Roger, which then made him emotional and start crying. It's likely why he allowed Luffy to eat the Gum Gum fruit/God Nika fruit and become Joy Boy. He's the person Roger was waiting for to go to Laugh-tale and make a decision, the one Oden wanted to open Wano's borders for. The one who will go to war with the celestials/world government and change the world once he learns the truth of the void century.

Don't know if y'all will read this comment...but you can go and rewatch 1015 at this point...it's that scene where Yamato realises that luffy and roger said the same thing when Ace tells her what Luffy's actual dream is and Yamato realises that she read the same thing in Oden's journal...in that flashback too, the scene cuts off right before the dream is mentioned... Oda is truly 🤌🏽

I can't blame you for not knowing what someone could be just by seeing their appearances. It is understandable because most of the anime viewers are the casual fans. For manga readers, everyone are doing the weekly theory discussion about everything in the manga. That why most of the readers knows what someone could be or what something can happen in the next few chapters before the next chapters release.

in the manga it's a lot easier to see that the mihawk seraphim has the same eyes as Mihawk as well as the same Hair style, but we dont see Mihawk without his hat on very often so it makes sense anime watchers wouldnt make the connection, i dont think people are trying to spoil bc i know for me as a manga reader it's easier to pick up on the context clues, some people just dont realize that other people aren't going to remember all these little details, especially if you're reactors who watch a bunch of different shows at once over a long period of time

The fact that manga readers knew that he was a clonke of Mihawk is because in the question section for fans in the manga, Oda drew all the warlords back in the day they were kids, and his sketch of Mihawk looked exactly like that Seraphim. Those sketches were also shown at the end of One Piece Film Z in the end credits. No wonder as an anime watch you could'nt immediately figured that he looked like Mihawk.

I was looking forward to seeing your reaction to the end of this episode. because we are used to seeing Luffy shout that he will be king of the pirates. but there comes a point in the work when his scream is always interrupted, and we no longer hear it. Precisely because he is not shouting that, he is revealing his true objective, which is a mystery covered in theories haha. Becoming the Pirate King is just a means to your ultimate goal.

They censor Luffy's dream a lot of times in anime. In one of Ace, Sabo, Luffy's flashback 500+ episode, episode 1015 when Ace tell Yamato about Luffy's dream which also shows us Roger and Luffy has same dream which is also on episode 966 on Oden's flashback when Roger is talking to Whitebeard and Oden. Also possible that Shanks was talking about Luffy's dream on episode 400 when Rayleigh said he met Shanks 10yrs prior of pre time skip

The reason why seraphim Mihawk might not look like him is bcs for us manga readers, Oda drew versions of kid Boa and kid Mihawk in an SBS where they pretty much look exactly like their seraphim counterparts. Plus, in the manga and anime, we did get to see a small Boa Hancock when they showed us how fisher tiger freed them form Marijois

Its crazy that episode 1 Straw Hats had no problem in believing in Luffy and cheering him on that he will become the King of the Pirates. But, the Straw Hats of episode 1088 are shocked and amazed by his real dream and Usopp and Sanji even sort of say that it will be impossible to achieve. It has to be something simple and generic that an 8 year old Luffy could think of but that would requires some very specific, epic, and impossible feats to achieve of which becoming the Pirate King seems to be only the first step. Remember Shanks words to Rayleigh where he said that he was amazed by a boy in East Blue who said the exact same thing that Roger did? Now, that makes sense! As becoming a pirate king didn't seem to fit that. This version of We Are is sooo good!!!! I am constantly amazed by the fact that One Piece is a weekly anime, because the kind of episodes Toei are putting out have top tier animation comparable to anything that Demon Slyer or Vinland Saga put out.

The reason Mihawk as a kid was abvious to some people is because Oda drew them as a Kid in a SBS and he indeed looks like Mihawk. Don't feel bad at all for not making the connection directly.It was not as obvious even for some Manga readers

I too was spoiled the fact that they exist, it was only a still image of the two with no context but I thought "it looks like a tan boa and mihawk"

They have teased luffys real dream before in the anime - specifically in episode 1015 during the parallel scene with Roger he started to say his real dream and then never showed it.
