@mchitti You do remember correctly. :) The first lufia actually begins with the heroes from lufia 2 ((Maxim, Selan, Guy and Arty) as they enter the final dungeon to destroy the sinistrals.

@ShooterInc Also if I remember correctly from when I played this game all those years ago, lufia 2 is actually set before lufia, so it's easy to get away with.

that because lufia I wast released in europe but lufia II was. So when it came out they had to name it Lufia, because Lufia II had not made any sense. In fact, when I was a little kid I thought this was the first and only Lufia game there was.

This is the german version of the game. The first game was never released in germany, so if would have been strange for people, to buy the second lufia, when the first lufia never came out. So they changed the title from "Lufia 2" to just "Lufia".
