I'm here due to the Final Fantasy VI T-edition mod/romhack, where they made this the boss theme for the Humbaba fight. It sounded super familiar and was, though I haven't played Lufia 2 in so long it took me a minute to remember where it was from. Good times.

Holy shit, love the chugging guitar riffage. I was NOT expecting this from the soundtrack at all, I am definitely considering getting this game now.

Yes, I played the whole games since Lufia 1, and they are very similar.

@Chokoboh well i think the makers wanted to keep the elemental damages in the game but as was told in the game magic was almost completely vanished from the world only a few still knew it and those where the sinistrals, but the power given to them comes from there energy cores. its still a clever idea imo to keep magic kind of in this game, also a few weapons you found and would give to maxim had fire damage on it. so that may give a reason why he has fire damage in the ds version.

Yeah, pretty late. o.o Sure, i often equip the fire swords on him too, its mostly for one reason useful, to cover most elements. But its still not logical. Imagine for example Cloud in a FF7 remake to be a dual wield specialist - something he just isn't. It just wouldn't be logical, no matter what excuses one searches.

late reaction :P but to be fair there are swords that you find i always gave to maxim with Fire IP abilities or on hit damage it was far better for him than the others, i'm not even sure if the others could use it

@LolGameStudio64 Thats not quite logical xD In original Lufia 2 Maxim could cast every type of offensive magic, exceptions are only the Light magics and Fire magics. Light is only for Arty so he is the only Magic character who lacks one specific element. And that is fire. So i dont get it why he now uses the element Fire in the new game as his priority element. Its just.. illogical.

if only for this game i would say no sadly its kinda short, if you can get other games then i say go for it maybe you can get a good deal on a few good games low in price but a ds only for this i'd say no sadly.

@RaveLavine Weird huh? In the original game Maxim couldnt do such things. Not even cast normal Fire Magic.

You can download a Snes emulator, the rom, and play it. The DS remake is exactly the same.

I never played this game .... but during watching videos on youtube about gameplay .... hmm i think the snes version is much better
