Oh, nice version. Remember when first met Gades and I went "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT MONSTER!!!". Nothing beats the feeling of beating him the first time in normal mode.

Lufia II is such and underrated game :( it hurts me to the heart no one cares about it nowadays, and also this cover is so damn good, I don't know why covers as good as this don't get the love and recognition they deserve, but once again, I absolutely love this master piece!

I loved the game as a child so much that today, at 33 years old, I still have many puzzles in my head. And many of the sprites of bosses and mobs. It was simply legendary.
@Animebryan22 жыл бұрын
You can blame that on those dumbass developers in Neverland for bastardizing the remake Curse of the Sinistrals for the DS. If they had simply done that remake right, we could've also gotten a remake of Lufia & The Fortress of Doom and maybe Lufia III: The Legend Returns as well. But nope! They just had to 'modernize' it like a bunch of dumbasses.

well - i think you are wrong. at least i care about Lufia II - i play it at least once or twice a month :D

the IP used to be owned by Taito but that got swallowed up by square-enix, and they're sitting on so many Ip's they don't have a clue what to do with them all. they could make another truly kick ass lufia game but. eh. lufia 3 and 4 weren't really all that good. and the remake also never caught on. it didn't quite give old fans what they wanted (except for the music) and it didn't really succeed in pulling in many new fans. doesn't seem likely we'll see a lufia 5, ever.

Lufia II will always be my favorite SNES RPG. With a Protagonist as simple as he is unique. Not an utterly tragic backstory. Not a warrior foretold by legend. Just a man. And when destiny called he answered. He didn't have time to sulk around as he was to busy fistbumping Guy throughout the game. Not the annoying "will they won't they" romantic nonsense. They fall in love mary each other and are happy together. And a journey i enjoyed taking every step of the way. And then there is the Sinistral battle - the isngle greatest boss music in any RPG.

id say its probably my second or third favorite SNES game behind EarthBound and *maybe* Chrono Trigger. I like JRPGs, can't you tell? But yeah, this game is kind of a masterpiece, even with the fucked up glitches in the US version.

Actually, the inspiration for the sinistral battle theme is a song called Rodan by: The Square. The Square (later T-Square) is more of a jazz fusion group, but Rodan has more of a heavy metal theme. Although the song itself is more associated with being the inspiration for a lot of the music from the F-Zero games, you can hear the motifs from the sinistral battle theme as well.

Having played through the game more times than I'd care to admit or count... It's a very well done remix, but it just doesn't seem to capture the same raw energy of the original. Rather than the high points to string the track together, it just seems everything here got a little bit flattened out. =\

That lead should be an octave up, I dunno why every video game metal cover has the lead on the lower octave, just kinda bugs me.
