Watching this back, I definitely could have sequenced a bunch of stuff better. Grabbing a 2nd Lugia VSTAR when I already had one in hand was quite the brain fart. In the Gholdengo match, attacking with Lugia first when I could have gone in with Snorlax was a bad gamble. Not only did I give them an early 2-prize target, but I had a more energy-efficient attacker already in play. Had I led Snorlax, I wouldn’t have had to do the Boss play and I wouldn’t have been so tight in energy at the end. I know I’m not the best player, but it’s good to watch these back and see where I can improve and hopefully what mistakes I’ve made that you can avoid. GG!

I feel this on such a personal level. I don’t always sequence correctly and it costs me games, but we are all learning and having fun! Don’t be hard on yourself, we will all get there in time and be better players :)

This is my preferred deck this season! I like the setup steps, I like the casino aspect, I like the hard hitting single prizers. Pretty rewarding deck.

Are there any cards that can aid in consistency? I’m looking into cyphermaniac and pokestop and cylene as recovery. Was thinking the new dunsparce line for draw as well.

Is replacing Snorlax with Noivern ex good or bad? Noivern would be more situational to set up, but I usually have better Cincinnos by the time I get Snorlax.

I have seen some lists run Noivern instead of Snorlax and I get the argument. If you really want to tech against all the basic decks like Iron Hands and Ancient Box, by all means go for it!

Are there any Pokémon you can use as a substitute for lugia v a vstar and lumineon there the only cards I don’t have

Technically, yes, but they’re much worse and I wouldn’t recommend it. Omastar V can bench 2 Archen without the fossils, but it’s an attack that takes your turn, leaving Omastar open to attack. And then you still have to find Archeops. In my own testing I have found this to be awful and not even worth playing. Instead of Lumineon, you could try PokeGear 3.0. It lets you look at the top 7 cards of your deck and grab a supporter you find there. However, its random nature will mean that at times it won’t find you the specific supporter you’re looking for (or any supporter for that matter). If you really want to use Archeops, I would definitely find a way to get Lugia and Lumineon.

How do you beat future hands? There is no tech for it.

There is a tech. But most choose to just pray. Across over 200 Lugia vs. Future Hands matchups on Limitless, Lugia has won only 27% of them. Almost every deck has bad match-ups and Future Hands is easily Lugia’s worst. Some Lugia decks run 1:1 Noivern ex. Noivern ex can wall off attacks from basic Pokemon. However, at what cost? Taking a step back, no deck can tech for every single match up without hurting your overall matchup spread. In cases like this, is it worth teching in Noivern if it means all your other matchups are worse? Maybe there are enough basic attacking decks right now to justify it. But one can only tech so much before the deck is just worse overall.
