Great info. This is very informative for someone who doesn’t understand how clutch/flywheel work. I have a Toyota and when I asked other fellow Toyota car owners if Sachs clutch will work, i kept reading “keep the car stock as possible”. I didn’t know what they meant. But now I know they meant to buy excedy or aisin because they are the OE manufacturer for Toyotas and other Japanese brands.

Luk aren’t that bad. I believe Luk is owned by Valeo as a budget brand and they use Valeo patterns, andY they often come with Valeo stamped parts in the box. Your clutch clearly looks like the wrong clutch for the car, which is why it looks weedy next to the correct clutch, and why it was fouling on the flywheel bolts. It was clearly more damaged than worn out.
@fun2rideadventure10 ай бұрын
LUK is not owned by Valeo, and it is OE supplier quality , it is owned by Schaeffler ... LUK is the top one, and after came Valeo and Sachs.....
@minot.893110 ай бұрын
@@fun2rideadventure My experience is that Valeo is the better quality. LUK is okay.. pretty good and less grabby than a Borg&Beck clutch.. but just from their appearance you can see Valeo is better made. I've had Valeo clutches that lasted 120,000 miles. Best LUK has managed 90,000. Since the biggest ball-ache is changing the clutch, not the 10% more cost, I would choose a Valeo every time, unless there was no choice.

Same in my sister's 156 and same in my GT 1.9jtd. Just do it slowly and without much force. If you have tightened the parking brake, just release it first the car moves a little bit, and then engage reverse. You will learn to do it smoothly like that.
