Smith is just biased like all the American basketball players and sports broadcasters for the most athletic Black players. Americans believe that the MVP needs to be the fastest runner and best three-point shooters. They cannot admit that Jokic and Donici are just more complete basketball players with more skills than the majority of the American players. Basketball is more than dunks and three-point shots. Basketball requires rebounding, ball handling, passing, setting picks, and to be great the mental ability to breakdown opposing defenses. Luka does all of these things much better than any other NBA player. Luka does not need to run faster or jump higher to defeat NBA player's defense. He does it with ball handling, strength, speed changes, stopping super-fast, and mentally being ability to manipulate the oppositions defense no matter what they try. In a team game with ten great NBA players Luka's side would win the majority of the time because he will break down whatever defense the other teams try. The American players that approach Luka are very few, Lillard, Chris Paul, Stepen Curry, and Brunson. And guess who Brunson learned from.
