Angelina is 13 here, looking like a torch singer in a 40's movie. I don't think she is nervous at all when performing. I see the opening wave as her invitation to come on in to her world; she's right where she wants to be. And the wave at the end is her way of saying thanks for being here with me. She sits down and gives that sweet wave, and then when she starts singing you can see her just fall right into the world of the song. Just a 13 years old, in her living room delivering a vocal that IMO rivals one of the most highly regarded singers of the last couple decades. @Rusty Shackleford, I think Angelina's fans should get together (hopefully with Lukas Hassel as well) to petition Ed Sheeran to mentor her like Usher mentored Bieber (but without the tats, wild parties and bad song choices). Seriously, her parents and others have done a great job but I think Sheeran could really form a great partnership with Angelina. A lot of superlatives are coming here-this is definitely one of my favorite performances by the best singer I’ve ever heard. I’ve felt for several years that Angelina is the best interpreter of lyrics singing today, particularly on songs with melancholy themes like this one-and also with her staggering cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. I love Adele, but side by side, other singers sound one-dimensional next to Angelina. Here she lives the lyrics, giving us pure, clean, sustained notes along with vocal fry, texture, depth, and that raspy vibrato I’ve never heard from anyone else. It combines, at least for me, into pure vocal magic that mesmerizes. I can listen to Angelina all day, everyday. And I do listen to her everyday.

I saw a video recently where she was singing an Adele song. They were comparing the two and would have Angelina sing a portion and then Adele sing a portion. I never listen to Adele, but my impression of this video was that compared to Angelina, Adele’s voice sounded harsh and tinny. JMHO.

AJ has the gift of back phrasing ( jazz technique ) and moving around the note. The runs or melismas she puts on and around certain phrases are incredibly hard to pull off properly, not to mention the breathing control. She is an extraordinary performer

I like your grown up comments about Angelina's age. It's like Angelina also is helping us by clothes and hairstyle; when we hear this beautiful song we shouldn't think of a young girl. Instead she is helping us to think of a woman of age and experience. Once when she sang "Shield" on the Swedish television she was asked how she could sing so at an age of twelve.
