I like my Deere's but that tigercat loader and skidder were built right. Thanks Wade for sharing.

Wade, I’ve been around and run logging equipment all my life and Tiger Cat is by far the best there is in the woods. They build there equipment with the owners and operators in mind for sure. They cost a little more but my Dad always said you get what you pay for.

Very nice operation and nice equipment can process a lot of timber quickly

Like a mama cat gently moving her kittens around. Talk about a smooth operator. I bet he could dial up the ole lady with that grapple.
@briangardiner10155 жыл бұрын
That was an impressive landing. Nice and neat. I would like to see the chipper in action. Those Tigercats look like a well built machine. There is an operation here and they drag the trees to the landing, but they process it at the landing. Then they run the slash through a Bandit grinder and sell the ground material to a biomass plant.
@jamescarter15005 жыл бұрын
Baddest loader ever built! Love the loader and the grapple but those short metal lines on the grapple cylinders are a pain in the ass. God forbid the little small mounting bracket breaks you can't keep the lines tight! Tigarcats biggest flaw on all their cylinders are those Steele lines

Sea Level oh man prolly the best boom operator I’ve ever seen
@TheByard4 жыл бұрын
A few operators can use em, others just abuse em. Then there are lots that just don't have a clue. I got trained on 360 deg excavators and the instructor was a 7ft tall 6ft wide Irish man, who told us once the second time came with a clout around the ear with his size 16 hand. You didn't need no third time telling, when you pulled a trench the bottom had to be real smooth, the muck had to be landed 2 yards back from the top of the trench, and more if the trench was more than chest depth no ifs or butts.

Grease nipples on a door hinge says a lot about a piece of equipment. However, when you leave so little stones unturned, it also says a lot about the price tag. Probably worth it in the long run.

We have a t250d as well along with 2 234b trailer mounts. that 250 comes in very handy in wet spots and in using the tag along to get extra wood ahead. also beats the heck out the trailer mount feeding chipper.

Very nice operation. Nice loader. The slasher didn't seem to work as well as I think it should though. The buncher guy could improve on the flared butts too. Lol
@jamescarter15005 жыл бұрын
Have you ever ran a wheel cutter? It's a ruff ride with low stumps! If he cut the trees up above the bells the stumps would be 2 feet high! And where this juniper grows the ground is soft. You got to do what your going to the first time or tear the ground all to hell. Alot different than pine logging

Sure is nice to see something that is designed for the mechanic. I have a recurring dream where I walk into a bar that is filled with the engineers that design cars and equipment. I lock the door and smash their heads together until they think about the poor bastard that has to work on their design.
@daveg26094 жыл бұрын
Its not just Construction type machinery that's like that. Boiler rooms seem to be designed while the engineers are laughing hysterically at the poor sucker that has to fix them.
