@@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife When I'm watching your videos, I'm always going, "Wow, look at that!" I often wonder just how old some of the ruins really are. I mean, this all could be way older than we think because humans tend to build in the same places over time, & even right on top of where ancient people's homes were... churches on top of pagan temples. It's all just so intriguing.

Sarah and Luke, thank you for the privilege of this episode, I loved it so much. The long walk off-path, and your peaceful pace. The wild stunning beauty, and they way you both leaned into awe and became quiet in the presence of so much natural beauty and energy. The way your animals come along (all of them), and your smiling ease with "they're all running a bit wild," trusting them to come home when they're hungry. They can FEEL your trust and genuine appreciation of them, it's part of why the animals in your world seem so happy! This is is the best kind of life a "pet" could ever have, with freedom and time to be alone with this earth, and to choose when to return back to their people. Thank you for modeling this for others (and yes, only possible if there is ample land and few predators where they wander). I'm wondering if your chicken being such a bright white color might be easiest to spot by hungry hawks? Blessings on you both. This felt a bit like watching clouds & really seeing their exquisite beauty, and while I was in that spell I discovered I had climbed through them up into the sunlight. ❤Lee

My first visit to your channel, and Wow... What a stunning parcel of land! The river would've been the clincher for me too - such potential for hydro power and so wasy to do. Thanks so much for taking us on such a lovely wander around your land - beautiful and green, and all those magnificent moss covered boulders - magical! I can just imagine how it must be cooling off on those scorching hot days - I get them here in rural Australia too - many of them well over 40C! Do you have river pumping rights or must you only use water from your land or the sky? Love your pigs, dog and although cats can decimate wildlife, your cat too - love Timmy's hide 'n' pounce antics with Molly!! Had to giggle when you mentioned Nick and Andrea - Nick has shown up as a helper in many other channels I've checked out and I follow them from time to time too!! I think he's pretty much built Cindy Vine's place and has fixed her ever-failing fences innumerous times - what a gem! Wondering if your pigs came from Cindy - guess I'll find out as I binge your journey to date. All the best to you both - cheers from Oz 🦘

Another great film, Sarah❣ Very enjoyable to join you on your evening walk to and along the river. I can see how the river border sealed the deal in your choosing your land to live your dreams. It's all all so lush and pleasing after the rains, and the energy from the river's flow must be so revitalizing. I've learned that plants love the nitrogen in the rain... maybe river plants and animals are energized and happy from it, too. All their joy coupled with the power from the moving water itself, all that energy of renewal must surely charge the air along the river. No wonder you love it! 🤗 I would, too. Not sure about my mom... she's not impressed by the Pacific Ocean here in S.F., nor particularly enthralled to be near a river... bc our familial home in the Philippines is also bordered by the town's clearer river and also by the Pacific Ocean, she's all "Phfff, i've had enough of that!" 😆@👩🏼🦳 [This is the same lady unimpressed by the Sistine Chapel ("Beegg deal, dey'r just drawings on da ceiling!") and the Coliseum ("Hah! it's just pull ob rocks! and cats!"). 🤦🏻♀️@👩🏼🦳] We *both* love you guys 🤗... even if mom and i don't see eye to eye on riparian delights. 😄
