Hi. Ive been wanting to train for my class 1 for years and hopefully my time is about to come. This was the exact video I was looking for. A real honest account of what a working day is for a trucker, so thank you. Ps: I'm looking forward to it. Lets hope i pass🤞 I had great times in the 90s going to work with my dad at weekends. Although i think i am still mentally scared from the fear of driving up the steep quarry in Somerset overload. The weighbridge was at the bottom of the quarry and i was scared the lorry would not make it and roll backwards down the hill 🙈 But my dad drove all sorts up to 44T over the years. He wishes me luck but he said he wouldn't do it now if he was younger as the conditions and pay are far worse than it was back in his trucking days. I hear that a lot. But I welcome it 😊 Keep the videos coming, im subscribed now 😊

I am an apprentice in a moving company, and last week was my first night out in a truck, and we stopped at a petrol station for the night. I had top bunk. Not a lot of space up there, and when I woke up the following day, I got the reading lamp in my eye, when I sat up. It was a very comfortable nights sleep, though!

Brings back memories following you around for 24 hours. I've texted you a few times now and enjoy your vids memories of when I was tramping around the country. Where in Peterborough did you deliver I'm only 18 miles from there near what was Alconbury truck stop, another truck stop gone. Great vid.

Hey Luke, I'm still loving your stuff, nice to see a bit of a review of your tramping arrangements. I'm an owner driver courier doing light haulage and I often tramp in the back on a fold out bed and a folding mattress, I usually fall asleep quicker in the van than when I'm at home! They are Aluminium billets, they will either be machined into components or more likely extruded into sections such as those used in window frames etc. They are unlikely to be melted down as it takes quite a few processes to get it into billet like that. I used to work in Aluminium Smelters, the billet is a 'value add' product and worth more than Aluminium for melting down and casting which I could see in the background of your video.

This is a true story of my one and only sleeping in a lorry cab experience. Going back a few years here i worked in a warehouse and was asked to do a run with a lorry driver which involved a night in his cab. Done the day run, parked up about 5ish, and straight in the pub. Until it closed. And then went to a nightclub until about 2am. I did actually know the driver socially and he was a very big drinker. And boy was he drunk. Extremely so. Anyway, mistake i made was him in the top bunk, me underneath. And in the night he wet himself while asleep and i got a proper soaking. Alarm went of at 6 and without so much as having a wash he was back behind the wheel driving. Not good.
