Traveling like that can never be genuine. An overpriced ticket because he wants to be superior to ordinary Filipinos and not stand in line. 800p for a luxury taxi instead of 200p for a tricycle driven by a Filipino who tries to feed his family and pay his monthly rent or installment for his vehicle in these difficult times here. 150usd for a luxury hotel room. Maybe he should travel to the real Bohol, where people eat frogs to survive.

You have to know The Philippines. This is not overspending and it's not generosity. He just spends as much as he needs to have a trouble-free s and luxury vacation. Most of these expensive resorts are foreign owned and the taxi companies are owned my rich Filipinos.
