Great video mate, Here in South Africa, bony fish make good fish cakes, cook the fillets(smoke or steam it) then remove most of the big bones. Chase it through the mincer, add some seasoning, diced onions, flower, am egg or two. And make some fish cakes.. Serve with some tartare souce.. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

@@lukefalzon if you go to kuranda and like freshwater fishing go to oakforrest road near MCcorry st most locals fish off the bridge but i personally fish upstream from the bridge, you can drive down mccorry st about 300m down you will see the first house on the left an then turn right into a clearing opposite the house, go over the train track an a small hike down a hill and your at a grunter breeding hole most locals don't even know about. You will catch grunter, sleepy cod, eeltail catfish and possibly a jungle perch but their mostly tagged. The recent rain has stirred up alot of grunters I took home 8 grunters all above 48cm.

Is there any kind of fish you prefer to catch? I've been a cairns local for 34 years Port douglas is renowned for barra Inbetween palmcove jetty and double island is shark alley Fishing under the caravonica bridge is 10/10 for mangrove jack and the small pedestrian bridge not far away is good for large schools of mullet (and crocs so be wary) Anywhere in kuranda you will always catch grunters, eels an eeltail catfish Go to tinaroo for huge redclaw and a stocked dam, sometimes theres tilapia catching contests and largest barra contests
