When I moved from Canada to Taiwan in 2016 it was the first place I really fell in love with food. My travels since have taken me to a lot of places with really good food, but for me, Taiwanese food is my favourite. Thanks for watching this video that was years in the making and many trips around Formosa Island.

Yes, I have to agreed with your view on your comments from others, to me TPE is the class of indescribable Asia at large and then you micro to Southeast Asia and all your taste buds just embody cultures in a sense of self acceptance and discovery that their are more to life then just you , when emerging is just amazing!

What a bold statement Luke :-). I do agree, Taiwan has some amazing food, and I really look forward to watch this epic and long episode. However: I think what country has "the best food" depends of course on food experiences, but also on memories, what you like, the people you shared it with, what you experienced, on traditions, if you like meat, if you eat innards etc. etc. etc. For me, if I had to choose, it would be Italy, with a very close runner up Thailand. And than Taiwan / China / Japan / Spain and Vietnam (in random order), depending on what I am feeling for.

Almond tea is not made western almonds. Chinese almonds tea is made with 'southern almonds', unsure if it's a true almond. There is also a northern almond. Both types of Chinese almonds are used in Chinese medicine and making soups.

Luke... You have a girlfriend named Ming that you met where? And you do food review shows? Lol you'll be just as successful as Mark Wiens who married Ying from Thailand. I think I will be the first female reviewer who could possibly go to Thailand, make myself a wife named Bing, and continue to do the shows until I have millions of followers too. All joking aside. This is a great video.

The "almond" tea does not taste like almond because it's actually apricot kernel, they have the same name in chinese so mistranslation as almond is very common in Taiwan.
