About the 38. Czech mate. It also sounds like “шах и мат” in Russian and may be in Czech it sounds the same way. So it seems more deep joke, like it has two levels 😊 «шах и мат» means complete victory. And chess is called «шахматы» in Russian. So this name consists of those two words
