One of the funniest things I've seen was a restaurant owner who wrote "Welcome" in English but with Arabic letters, giving the opposite meaning of a warning instead of a welcome

Hi, Luke! How are you doing? I'm one of your REP stars from on of your favorite countries, Japan! 😁 Thanks so much for your fun and fruitful episodes! I just wanted to comment on the topic of the sign at the Japanese public bath. I think the sign wanted to say, "Don't pull out the plug of the bathtub." As far as I understand, the "cock" was referring to the "plug" at the bottom of the bathtub. The reason being, in Japan, a lot of people pull the plug of the bathtub by accident. 😂 Anyway, i really enjoy your episodes every time! Thanks!!!

USSR joke most probably relates to furnishing and atmosphere of those times. Sometimes may imply poor quality and service. In the context of the joke the hotel might wanted to say that their guests may experience conditions and level of life back in USSR. Many tourists coming to Russia would love to get that experience.
@daviderabozzi1044Ай бұрын
Hi Luke, being Italian I can explain why the "funny sign" of the launderette in Rome was addressed to "ladies". In Italy many people still think that doing the laundry is women's work, which is sexist of course but that's it, sadly enough.

I wonder why does it have to sound American to be an insult 😂😂 i can imagine a British dude saying " you wanna ride on your own ass, get out of here" but i can't get the picture 😂

It’s because “ass” is an American word. So, to me, it sounds like something a New York taxi driver would shout out of his window or something.
