A shallow ocean, but rests above a massive(unnatural) subterranean pocket (Atlantis, The Lost Empire style). Whatever built this civ is either long dead or gone, but it’s overrun by giant insects. People survive by living nomadic, Polynesian style, island to island. People who stay in one place too long are on borrowed time and would explain why Dark Elves would avoid this swarm’s hunting grounds.

Lumbria being based on Oceania would open some really rad themes for an army. like having massive marsupials, monitors and land crocs to follow with some sea monsters. the question is what kind of civilization could live there outside of pygmies, and being that remote it could mean Chaos has never touched it. Perhaps Lumbria is isolated enough that there is traces of a civilization more ancient than the Lizardmen themselves, maybe something Lovecraftian.

Lumbria could be home to multiple factions, like there could be a Polynesian inspired faction of humans, but there could also be: there could be fishmen as a reference to the Shadow Over Innsmouth, an entire faction of Constructs who guard a dead nation like in the stereotypical adventure story and may be a Carnivorous Plant inspire faction of dryads as Pitcher Plants are natives to that kind of region.

The Malus Darkblade books mention whole civilizations existing in the chaos wastes, some harboring more people then the empire and Cathay combined while some are just burnt out husks, and others look like they are aliens that live underwater despite living on land. Of course these civilizations are blissfully unaware of anything happening beyond their borders as all of them are held under the thrall of chaos and most are actually locked in a stasis popping in and out of existence at random intervals due to timey wimey chaos magic shenanigans.

I think the "giant pygmies" was just a joke to refer to the aboriginal humans of Lumbria, and an in-universe mix-up on the part of an Old World or Cathay scholar or perhaps a traveling maneater. There is probably some physical, fashion, or cultural similarity between Lumbrian humans and Lustrian pygmies. Personally I would like Lumbria to be more than a fantastical version of Australia, but a set of archipelagos with a Lovecraftian and pulp theme, since the submerged city of R'Lyeh where Cthulhu sleeps is supposed to be in the Pacific Ocean; as well as some Deep One metropolises that maintain contact with island human tribes.
@togaturtle
@togaturtle Жыл бұрын
Hmm I thought that Dark Elves had sailed round the world to Cathay. How have they not come across Lumbria? I suppose it could be so infested with sea monsters that no one can get to it, but then how can the Pygmies be enlisted by ogres? The only thing I can think of is a Bandal wood kinda deal from Runeterra where they have their own magical secret ways of exiting and finding the continent.

Yeah, a Lemuria reference was my guess, too. If so, not really surprising it's given a similar name and an ambiguously hand-wavey 'here be dragons' direction. According to some sources, it's meant to have had some sort of hostility against Atlantis. Just like Atlantis, the precise location has never been agreed upon/properly ascertained to verify, one way or the other. If that's what it is, it's going to be kept a perpetual mystery on purpose.

@fk3095 Calling Greenland a ring is a stretch (... Heh. Pun not intended.) I doubt that we could already see through the ice in the 1980s. And I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to hear that some tinfoil hat wearers are identifying Greenland with Atlantis, so at most it would just be one step removed. Anyway, Ulthuan is an ancient advanced civilization on a huge circular landmass in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with a former global empire; it doesn't get more Atlantean than that. It's smack-dab in the equivalent to the exact area of the Atlantic Ocean that Atlantis has been placed traditionally, well to the south of an island chain that connects Naggaroth almost all the way to Albion, i.e. roughly from Greenland to Ireland. FYI, two things are almost 100% certain about Plato's Atlantis: Its society was purely born out of his thought experiments about the perfect society. And the base elements of the tale reflect the fall of the Minoan civilization after the volcanic eruption at Thera, which until then was a ring-shaped island, over a thousand years before his time. That he placed it in the Atlantic Ocean was either due to confusion of one formation called the Pillars of Heracles with another or because he needed the space as it (as is typical for myths based on history) got scaled up in size (and number of rings) considerably. Possibly both; we'll never know for sure.

Hello dear author! Recently came across your channel. I watch it with pleasure, but with subtitles. Thank you for your work and I apologize in advance for my bad English. You touched on a really very exciting subject with regards to Lambria. Yes, I agree that Lambria (as well as Lemuria) was once mentioned on the maps. And the ogre armibook speaks of giant pygmies from Lambria or from Lemuria. I really hope that GW all the same will return to the ideas of returning the old races, which at the moment are non-canon. However, if we recall such interesting playable races as Fimirs or Gnomes, then we see how GW brought them back to the FB world. There are, in my opinion, several interesting official races, as well as ideas and concepts invented by the GW since the times of the 1st and 3rd editions. It is worth mentioning such interesting races as the Slann Empire. The Slann Empire was not an empire of lizardmen, but of humanoid amphibians (frogs and toads). Also, this playable race could include in its composition the armies of the pygmies of Lustria and the Southern Lands, as well as vassals of lizardmen and troglodytes. The ancient lizardmen and troglodytes were primitive and lived all over the world, and even once, the dwarves had to fill up the passages of one of the karaks in order to leave them locked there. Lizardmen and troglodytes were vassals of the Slann Empire. And there is even a hint of a reference to the creatures that live in the underground sea in Nagoroth, which often attack the dark elf sities and drag them away. I would be very happy that the GW would revive the old races, and the Slann Empire, which would consist of humanoid frogs, toads, pygmies, lizardmen and troglodytes (not to be confused with saurs, skinks, chameleons and kroxigors) and this empire would be just the same in Lambria. Lambria, in my opinion, is an analogue of Australia in the Warhammer FB world. And the Slann Empire could take its rightful place on the Lambrian mainland. I also mentioned Lemuria. There is Lemuria in the FB world. True, Lambria and Lemuria do not represent specifics for us. We can only speculate that Lambria is possibly Australia and Lemuria is New Zealand and Popua New Guinea. It is also possible nearby are Oceania - archipelago of numerous islands. But that's just fan speculation.
@LorgarUrizen69

Another interesting official race from GW was the half-orcs. Half-orcs are the common name for half-humans and half-orcs, half-humans and half-goblins, half-humans and half-hobgoblins. Half-orcs are a kind of enclave in the world of greenskins. They are despised by greenskins and humans alike. Therefore, half-orcs often lead a half-ocular, and half mercenary lifestyle. They are often employed by both other greenskin tribes and humans. Half-orcs had their own line of units in 3rd edition. Menfish Another interesting and mysterious playable race is the Menfish. Menfish were in 1st edition. They had one or more units from GW, but then everyone forgot about them. What's interesting is that the Menfish were part of the beastmen. Today, we lack a separate playable sea race, or rather several of them. I would be very happy if the GW rethink the concept of Menfish, and they will not be part of Chaos, but will worship their no less terrible ancient god of the deep sea (some mixture of Lovecraft) and the ocean depths. If it is revived in a Lovecraft and rethought version, we will get one of the most interesting game-sea races. There is a place here for shark people, sea giants, sea anglers, and riders on giant conger eels and crabs. Kroots Also, GW had a lot of ideas and concepts in the beginning. For example centaurs. In some edition (I don’t remember exactly, sorry), centaurs were depicted in the North American Indian style. It was also possible that there was an idea to settle in the New World (as the Naggaroth were called before) a race that would very much resemble the native Indians of North America. And perhaps they were flightless birds - the Kroot. We didn't see the Kroot in FB, but they are present in Warhammer 40,000, and what is remarkable, their style and design is very much reminiscent of the Indians of North America. Insectoids Also, GW had an idea to create a terrible and terrible race in the fb world, against which even the northern tribes who worship Chaos were not so frightening. And this idea was to create a race of Insectoids (humanoid and not only) - intelligent insects. Even models with insectoids (some kind of humanoid ants) were released, but this idea was later abandoned. Intelligent humanoid insectoids who are alien to emotions, fears, pity and mercy and compassion. Most of which biorobots devoid of emotions perform their tasks. Imagine for a moment such a subterranean-mountainous Insectoid Empire ruled by matriarch queens. Imagine for a moment a list of their terrible units. Huge ones larger than a tank - giant bugs, scorpions, spiders, infantry in the form of humanoid ants, bombardiers, and humanoid wasps circling the sky, giant praying mantises, terrifying giant centipedes, and larvae the size of leviathans. This race of insectoids would be very interesting and terribly frightening. They would not worship chaos, but would pursue their own goals, beyond the control of rational beings. Brrrr... what a horror, and we need such a race of Insectoids!) Humanoid Monkeys (Monkeymen). You can read about Monkeymen in the Weremen armibook. They are said to be a form of beastmen. However, if we proceed from the lore, then we can conclude that the monkey people live mainly in the jungle and tropics. Ape people live in Lustria, and in the jungles of the Southern Lands, in the jungles of the Indus and Khuresh, and in the lands of the Cathay Empire. Moreover, in the updated lore of the Cathay Empire, ape-men are no longer creatures of Chaos. Ape people are one of the most numerous creatures inhabiting the lands of Cathay. They outnumber even the Cathay. And the Monkey King from their race, who even at one time was able to usurp power in Cathay. From this we can conclude that the Monkeymen are not homogeneous in their culture. For example, the ape people of the Southern Lands are very different from the ape people of the Cathay Empire. Sea Elves Also, GW may have had an idea to create another sea race (or maybe several) in addition to the fishmen. Perhaps they were the Sea Elves, but at some point the GW abandoned this idea, and instead of the sea variety of the Elves, the Sea Elves became simple colonies of the High Elves. However, in the Warhammer AoS we can see the original concept of the Sea Elves as a purely underwater race. It would be great if GW would bring Idonet into the world of FB. We have 3 types of elves that live in certain territories. The High Elves live in Ulthuan, the Dark Elves in Highlands, the Wood Elves in Athel Loren, and the Sea Elves could live in the underwater country of Nautikan. Nautican - could be the home of the Sea Elves. Sea Creatures. In the stories about Lokhir, the sunken city of Chupayotl is mentioned. These stories mention intelligent sea creatures with scaly skin, with membranes, with gills, various sea monsters. What am I to? In general, it would be great if there were as many as 4 sea races in the FB world: Sea Elves, Fishmen, Sea Lizards / Sea Nagas, and Crab-clams (like insectoid cousins, but only sea ones). Lore can always be invented. The ocean is very big. We in the FB world have 3 types of elves, 3 mountain-underground races (dwarves, night goblins, skaven). So why not create 4 sea races? Sea Elves (Idonet), Fishmen, Sea Lizards/Nagas, Clam Crabs would fit perfectly into the FB world. Forest Spirits Based on the lore of the FB world, then the Forest Spirits appeared much later than the elves, not to mention the forest elves. I personally think that Wood Elves should be divided into Wood Elves and Wood Spirits. Such lords as Durthu, Coeddil, Adanhu, Drycha should head the forest spirits. And in the line of units for the Forest Spirits, you can add units from Sylvaneth from AoS. Angels Although the world of FB is the dark universe of Grimdark (which I really like), in which Chaos is something incomprehensible and incomprehensible, and of course terrible (references to Lovecraft), in a world where there are Demons of Chaos with their Dark Gods, but there was no place angels? I would really like that GW would add in the future a playable race of Angels, which will be able to withstand a terrible threat, and will be, as it were, the "Defender" of this planet. As "Angels" I really liked the playable race of Stormcast from AoS. To imagine how in the FB world an army of angelic beings stands up to protect and save the world from demonic invasions and threats - just an impressive sight!

Well, a little about people ...) "Nubia" In the lore of the Tomb Kings and Arabia, people are mentioned who came to the aid of King Alcadizaar the Conqueror. They were the Nubians. People of the South, as they are often described. In fact, these black skinned people live in Ka-Sabar and also have a number of different tribes, such as the Fangs, Ebony, Ethiopians. In fact, if we proceed from the lore, then the southern lands that border the jungles of the Southern Lands are the lands of the "Nubians". We have Arabia, we have Cathay, we have the equivalent of ancient Egypt. And even in fact there is Nubia, but for some reason they are bypassed. Human Tribes of the Southern Jungle. In the southern Jungles live not only Lizardmen, there live monkeymen, wild orcs, forest goblins, pygmies, as well as black-skinned tribes who paint their bodies with white paint. These human tribes are very similar to real Zulu, Bushmen, and other tribes of Central and South Africa. People of the New World In the first editions of the land of the New World (Naggaroth), Lustria were inhabited by people. Primitive tribes lived in the north of Nagoroth, who were very similar to the Eskimo and Aleut tribes known to us. In the arid deserts of Nagorotha lived tribes of people who were similar in culture to the Indians of North America. And in the southern jungles of Lustria lived numerous tribes of people. Some of them were savages, while others were vassals of the Slann Empire. "Ancient Rome and Greece". Oh yes, we miss this topic in the FB world!) If we have references to the Roman Empire in the form of the city of Remas in Tilea, and even when the Remas Empire was created (a reference to the Roman Empire), then we have Greece no... Although the names of the southern part of the Border Princes speak for themselves. Cities such as Myrmidens, Argalis, Lakoras, Aheas, Cyprus, Verdanas. We need ancient Greece with hoplites, pikemen, peltasts, and Greek mythology. "Caucasus" In the early additions to Kislev, it was said about the hill tribes and peoples who live in the Worlds Edge Mountains. Some of these tribes even have their own small states. Some are allies of Kislev, others trade in Kislev, and still others raid and fight the Kislevites. Were these early sketches of the Caucasus? Maybe. Caucasus in the FB world. With interesting mechanics. A mixture of ancient Great Armenia from the times of Tigran the Great, medieval Georgia and Alania, Dagestan, Circassia, and Abkhazia from the times of the 17th-18th centuries. Medieval Korea and Tibet and the states of Southeast Asia? In the old lore of Cathay, it is said that the Empire of Cathay is surrounded by various human states. In the east are the lands of the fragmented kingdom of Khan-Kuo (analogous to Korea of the times of Kogure), in the southwest there are mountains, and there are also the fragmented kingdoms of Kitserava (Tibet), and the Khuresh jungle has its own kingdoms of people (in addition to the bloody nagas) such as Sivkang, Taylan. "Persia" In conclusion, I would like to say a little about Persia. We have the Dark Lands. Chaos Dwarves live there. But what if we create a series of mountains between the dark lands and call these mountains Irran (which are in Estalia. A reference to Persia?). What if in the southern parts separated by the mountains of Iranna, create the country of Persia? which borders the Indus Kingdom in the southeast, trades with Karak Azul in the west, and is separated from the evil haoa dwarves by a mountain range known as the Irran Mountains. Persia would be another interesting human playable race. which would combine in this feature of Persia from the time of the Achaemenids, the Parthian Empire, and the Sassanid Empire. I strongly hope that Southern Realms (Estalia, Tilia, Border Princes), Arabia, Albion, Nubia, Ind Kingdoms, Nippon, Khuresh, Kurgans, Hungs, Hobgoblins, Ungols, Amazons, Living Pirates, Halflings will get their own playable races in the future. Fimirs, Trolls and Gnomes. Famirs, Trolls and Gnomes hope in the future will receive their racial packs, and for which we can play in the game. I hope that the Fimir detachments will be removed from Norsca, and finally, the Fimirss will become an independent game race. We have a Throgg, trolls as an independent playing race with various types of trolls, monsters during the tide of the Boglar detachments (a variety of gnoblars. Sometimes they are called swamp dwarves) would be a very interesting game race as the antipod of the kingdom of ogres. Pigmes Pigmes both mercenaries for the Slann Empire and part of the line of units of human tribes of Southern Lands. In conclusion, I want to say how more worked out and more detailed the world of the FB if these forgotten game races, peoples, the idea to introduce in the Old World and in the Warhammer Total War. Thank you for reading my very long message with gramatic errors. I also want to say thank you for doing excellent content for fans!)

In the map of our world label "Pacific Islands," the extra landmass, despite being labeled as Lemuria, is not Lemuria but a different fictional continent called "Mu." We know that this is Mu due to it's location in the Pacific Ocean. In contrast, Lemuria was theorized to span much of the Indian ocean between India and Madagascar. In the 19th century zoologists struggled to understand how/why lemurs were found around India and in Madagascar, but have never live anywhere in between. One proposed solution was the existence of a now submerged landmass spanning much of the ocean between Madagascar & India. Thus, land which permitted the lemurs to spread to their current habitats was given the name Lemuria. Note: Modern understanding of the continental drift of India, with Madagascar being a fragment of India left behind, completely explains this strange distribution of lemurs. However, continental drift did not gain broad scientific acceptance until after World War 2. In fact, in the decades prior to sonar seafloor mapping providing the first solid evidence for continental drift, it was very much regarded as a fringe theory almost certainly incorrect. In the absence of the notion that landmasses could move around the globe during the 1800s, the idea Lemuria is a reasonable scientific theory. Although a great many unreasonable other ideas quickly became attached to Lemuria.

I could easily imagine the continent as being the home of the Merfolk and Fishmen should they be introduced to the setting as like this ancient empire that rules the eastern seas and competes with other groups like Cathay, the Dark Elves, and possibly whatever the Warhammer islanders and Polynesians look like. (Assuming the Fishmen themselves wouldn't incorporate aspects of Polynesian culture). Warhammer Australia and Polynesia could only be imagined at lol, but both of these lands have some rich cultural history to draw upon that I would love to see made.

Lumbria is more likely a very small island (Easter Island or Christmas Island) as it's 'off the map' so it's not worth showing. Really, the best way to introduce Ind, Khuresh, Nippon and even Lumbria would be a new campaign setting (this would then bring Warhammer 3 to four campaigns).

How about Lumbria is where the first Halflings were created. Would explain their sole relation with the ogre kingdoms and maybe some offshoot Lumbrians traveled west became the pigmys and some met sigmar and followed him around after he saved them from "some great evil" since the halflings in the empire forgot what specific it was. Also a shifting mysterious continent with weird animals sounds very fitting for halflings. In warhammer the pathological cleptomans come from Australia instead of being brought there by the brits😂

This video was my first time even hearing about Lumbria, didnt know that tiny annotation next to Nippon even existed. Could it be a reference to possibly Lemuria-esque continent? That would be my first guess, and the tales of 'Large Pygmys' is a little paradoxical, if theyre large pygmys does that mean theyre normal sized? Or perhaps a more savage/primitive variant of Dwarf? Either way, really interesting stuff.

With the new recent mention involving a great sea monster it re-enforces my theory on Fishmen. The Fishmen are said to be mysterious, attack out of no where and exist in the underground sea under Naggarond and Chupotyl in Lustria. So I propose the reason it hasn't been mapped out is its submerged. I propose an idea. That relates to Fishmen on the extremely unlikely chance they come to Total War. That they use a mix of Ogre Camps and be Hordes. So they establish these 'camps' called 'reefs' (or something) where they spawn and develop. Possibly risen through magic or by being on the backs of massive sea creatures. So my idea is Lumbria is simply a massive or gathering of these reefs. Why has no one been able to find it specifically? Cause it disappears. They have a rough idea where it's seen a bit but nothing concrete. Nothing on size or anything. Now it's possible there could be some actual landmasses there. Maybe a series of islands with their indigenous life that are kept isolated mostly by the Fishmen. Possibly being used by them. The mention of 'Giant Pygmies' I'm taking with a bit of salt. Like a lot of Kislev and Cathay stuff it could have been rewritten and may not be canon. That said an area occupied by lovecraftian style fishmen with a variant of Lore of the Deeps and controlling sea horrors. Unlike the Coast which raise dead ones these are alive. It's a cool concept that could make for some amazing looking art and minis. As the main end thing we know is of sea monsters there. And we know the Naga of Khuresh are more wide known and acting then we thought. Maybe the Fishmen have plans of their own...

I think it's Mallu's Oceania, a patch of ocean dotted by islands. The Ogres are mercenaries, and the only other people with dark skin they encounter are probably the Pygmies while fighting in Araby, thus when they see the Warhammer equivalent of an australian aboriginal, they think they are "giant" pygmies, when they are their own thing.

Nathan, you posting this video is pretty much 'proof' in my opinion that TWW will eventually add LUMBRIA as an additional landmass/islands to the east of Cathay/southeast of Nippon. (of course, the world map will need to be expanded further to include this) I'm sure you have read my pestering comments stating the need to add in Sea Elves or at least another race and place their locations to the east of Cathay, now I am convinced that GW has allowed TWW to do just that. Tell me I'm wrong. ;)

They definitely need some newer illustrations and faction inclusions. I'm very serious when I put out there that they need some “pseudo-Mexican/cowboy” Dwarves and some horned and furred Native American reminiscent tribes fighting and in a stalemate with the Dark Elves. As well as updates on the Southlands and the East with Nippon, Ind and Khuresh. And 2 more factions like the South Pacific Polynesians, Albion too is in desperate need of revival, and a version of Australia. We All know that place would be touched heavily with chaos but even chaos would wanna bother them 😏. And the humans there wouldn't even need to be mutants or chaos worshippers either 🤷🏾‍♂️😂 they just adapted heavy to the environment and take it in stride that there's stuff like 8 ft. tall flesh eating kangaroos or massive and ironically harmless spiders that can be used as scent dogs or wasps that shoot Tzeentchian style blue fire from their thoraxes yet make a drug-like honey in their hives. And that giant bug army in the Southlands would slap too. Chaos born but not controlled massive insects that come in all shapes and sizes, even humanoid and hate greenskins, vampires (likely from the pirates of the vampire coast) and humans almost equally. Not to mention a more Caribbean based region with voodoo pirates (probably learned some of Nagash's necromancy) who fight, rob and making deals with the aforementioned sea vampires and lizardmen as well as elves both High and Dark alike depending on the shaman captain but would likely side with the Empire in the End Times despite being more neutral and neither strictly aligned with chaos or order. But side with them they will because there's no one left to rob or sell to if everyone else is dead 😏😂. I NEED there to be GW fanfic competitions for this stuff. Not to mention them buying up fan designed custom minis and lore to use in the actual games. Lol

Personally I was thinking of a dia de Los muertos Mexican/American cowboy faction. I was thinking more age of Sigmar where they are the main undead faction that directly opposes Nagash. I can just imagine a scene where a group of bandidos are chasing down a black coach in order to capture and liberate the souls they've imprisoned. For fun you could also have a group of mysterious nobles that command sand magic as a subtle nod to Tomb Kings that are still fighting Nagash the desert theme still fits too.
@trailblazerlazerrazerd9027
@trailblazerlazerrazerd9027 Жыл бұрын
@@gstellar96 See now them being more dia de los muertos related makes a lot more sense in AoS because they'd literally be dead/reborn into a new life. I also kind of had a reborn from death faction idea for the Tomb Kings, like Settra the biggest and greatest of them and Nagash's constant enemy somehow making a sort of undead, sort of like vampire mummy, army and golden world not too different from Nehekara but different enough in several ways. I was also thinking of a Nubian faction that was a blend of humans and this cat humanoid species, which they intermarry but the majority of them aren't welcome in the Empire and even less in Kislev but in Araby and Cathay they love them there. An intelligent and order based race, unlike the various Beastmen or Ratmen/Skaven. Basically like if you took the barely spoken of Felinids from 40k and put them in the Old World. And back to the Mexicano Dwarves, they'd likely have many similar but also very distinctly different traditions, especially about women in warfare. However to their benefit and to the dismay of the more traditionalists in the old world dwarf holds, daughters of Valaya in Nagarond or The New World in general are more plentiful similar to how they are for the Chaos Dwarves (although we haven't seen any of them as unit types yet. And I do hate that, like Halo where you know there are females of every race in combat and lore, but the developers never bother to render any of them in art or active gameplay. Like Mahkee from Halo 5 Guardians, she was just a voice but never a presence. Yet she was supposed to be one of the Arbiter's most trusted warriors. And speaking of dwarves in a Warhammer setting, I can't wait to see more of the Leagues of Votaan aka the Squats - and I still don't like that name either 😅 lol. I really wanna see their super soldiers and mech units. It's believed that they gave the Tau much of their tech, especially their railgun and plasma rifles, It wouldn't surprise me if they also had a hand in designing the Tau's battle suits. The Tau as well need their own elites since chaos and tyranids are breathing down their necks too, that includes the Farsight Enclave. But I can't wait to see how they diversified between the traditionalist Tau and Farsight's loyalists). At the time, I think GW is sort of obsessing over what they already have instead of taking a chance on making something new because they're afraid of pissing off fans of the regular stuff like Empire, Elf, Chaos, Dwarf and Ork factions. Having said that, I do think that the Ogres need to be scaled back a bit. They're essentially too strong. 1000 Ogres are basically as strong as or stronger than like 10,000 human or elven infantry. And the dwarves, while strong can't even match them too well. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have high stats in strength and dexterity as well as resistance to certain things like disease. I just don't think they should be as powerful as they are. There's no way an Ogre bull should be able to match blows with a champion of the Greenskins like Paunch or Grimgor or a Beastmen warlord like Kazrak-One Eye. I also wonder if Gremlins might be a faction unit which would be another sort of subspecies like the Snotlings or Squigs. And we still haven't seen too much of the Hobgoblins either which are like Skitarii to Space Marines, well above human but not matching the Emperor's Angels, I mean to say comparing Hobgobs to actual Orks (and definitely Not the Black Orks). Speaking of which reminds me of the Halflings aka the Moot. They can apparently be crafty thieves, scouts and guerilla fighters. It'd be good if the lore had them win a few goblin wars or something like the lore from Lord of the Rings. The imperials could even give it a condescending nickname like the Pygmy War(s) in which the Moot were being feasted on by the Greenskins and returned the favor, then use their bones to fertilize their food and tobacco fields 😏.

I have a Faction of Australian warriors, tribal firemages, giant war wombats, Castaway elves, sea monster allies and a variety of plant/ Fairy race kin of the treemen. I was putting this on Elithis but Lumbria would work. I also have an african faction and lore for the highlands of the southlands. Africans, eland and zebra Centaurs, dark skinned half-dwarves and the same plant/ fairy. All backed up with smart animals, big cats, elephants and a healing dragon. All this is based on real African mythology. I also have a less developed faction of yetti / sasquatch occupying part of the southern wastes but not chaos corrupted. The catch is there does not seem to be an inbox anywhere. Warhammer really does need new army lists to revitalize the company and sell new product particularly into the southern hemisphere markets of Africa, India, south America, etc where the age demographics are more receptive. However giant pigmy's does not indicate that Games Workshop really has a starting grasp of African etc culture or how silly that label sounds to those of us that know some Australian and african Mythology.
