I think I have played 12 games the past 3 weeks. 2 of them where 40K and the rest has been AoS4. I left AoS back in 2. ed, we got tired of dobbleturns deciding games. This summer I heard great things about AoS4 so I joined the local escalation league. Played all the challenge matches for 1500 pts and then got 6 games in last week, where 5 of them were 2k games. It is very fun and I learn new tips and tricks every game. I also play my rules more correctly now, have had a faction and unit rules being played wrong bothe my demise and my advantage, but now I am pretty sure I have got them right :D

Archaon is super strong right now and has been overshadowed by the early success of Be'lakor, but I think he's fantastic. I personally am undefeated in 4th after 10 or so games with Archaon among my friend group. He hits like a truck and his Eye of Sheerian is incredibly impactful with a 50/50 chance to force you to double turn which removes the draw back of losing the battle tactic. He is 100% back!!!

He is very strong, but in my games I've played against him I've been able to muscle him off the board with much cheaper unit. Aggradons eat him for breakfast and in that case you have 420 points of models killing 890 which is an insane trade. But I love that he's seeing play and actually decent as he should be

I’m well over 15 games in… I love fourth edition. I’ve piloted Slaves, OBR and Sylvaneth against Cities, Fyreslayer, SCE, Nurgle, nighthaunt, Ogors, Tzeench, Khorne, Sylvaneth, IDK, SBG and Giants. Some epic games in there.

@@Kimtanashino I’ve only played with my three armies…I have played against SoB twice. Won once and lost once by one point. I don’t know if I’d like to play with that army but my opponents seemed to enjoy them.

Nice of you to advocate to help more people get playing. I'm actually a little sad that I cannot find others to play with. But it's not for a lack of a community .. Aside from people still collecting and building and learning, is that all of our local stores started Spearhead leagues and competitions .. and the energy is focused on that. Let's face it, people have limited time and energy .. so when the local competitions are all Spearhead, the effort is there. Which is fine .. but for some of us who have .. well to say it lightly, a LOT of models and a real interest in AOS, it is a little disappointing. I'm even considering a trip to the UK just for a chance at some games :) ** So anybody from around Toronto (Markham) Canada looking for some AOS games .. send me a message!

It might be too far of a commute but Torchlight in Burlington and X planet in Mississauga have a great player base. I currently run an AoS league of almost 30 players in the Halton area.

I haven't played in any tournaments, but I have played 1000pts of Lumineth twice. I have never played AoS before those games and both times I beat my opponents pretty bad, with yesterdays game being nearly a turn one wipe. All my units just flew across the table. I could barely believe it. My Dawnriders just stomped the donkus out of his Idoneth infantry, with my Windriders and Wind Spirit shootin em so full of holes they sank back into the abyss. I just thought Lumineth looked cool. Now I'm a gamer. Thanks GW.

Fun fact, that German LRL list is technically illegal. Because sevireth is a warmaster and that windmage general isn't 😅 (not that it would really matter, because both characters can have all these units in their regiment)

I have played 0 2k games of AoS 4 as I still haven't found an army the excites me and I was really hoping the first battletomes will indicate further broadening of choices for army lists and based on Skaven previews/spoilers, that doesn't look like the case. A few new warscrolls and a few unviable, mostly for the lulz AoR rules... What's the point of "choosing" lores, artefacts, ect when the "choices" are more limited than bloody UK general elections. Meanwhile played 20+ games of Spearhead because 40m-1h game with low investment and choices is better than 3h+ game with similar level of choices. :P

Couple funny remarks 1. At 36:40 that LRL list is illegal, sev has to be general, that player probably cheated for a massive advantage allowing 70% of his army to avoid priority target 2. At 42:09 that player did not use real name as he is an abnoxious cheater known to the entire Chinese community. There is absolutely zero chance that he didn't cheat in all of his 5 games. 3. At 42:50 that player name translates to 'Slap your face, shoe face' (probably meant to say 'slap your face with slippers'), also those are bladegheists

I'm about 20 games deep, 10 Seraphon and 10 Flesh-Eater Courts and I feel like it's surprising how few Flesh-eaters we see in these videos... I know they are currently considered the weakest army in the game, but I've had pretty decent results with them as long as you pilot them correctly - but Ushoran, Morbegs, Horrors etc are all fantastic units if a little squishy... No idea how they're intending to fix them though honestly

My biggest take away from this awesome information dump is Khorne. The lists you talked about were completely different and there was no clear standard. This tells me that Khorne is the army GW should strive other armies to be like. There isn't a clear defined "this list rules all" and also this faction has no access to generic manifestations. just sayin GW!

Shooting and casting in opp turn 2 points, charging in opponents turn be scrapped... to many armies just win by being able to sabotage one or more tactics by a dumb countercharge
