Very happy to see that there is still some Lumineth content out there. I got into the faction about 2 months ago and have been sad to see that nobody seems to be talking about it.

This was the list I was using before I watched the video, and I've now changed it to the Senthoi build after watching, so I'll see how it goes in the coming weeks. With this list I am able to does a few of the lumineth battle tactics along with hold objectives as a loose castle build. That's still a very good list. It's almost the one that I used in the video! Definitely give Siegfried's list a whirl, but don't hesitate to make it your own.

Edit: I should state that the threat of autocasting blizzard is part of the fork mentioned below, without it soaking primal unbinds the rest of the list loses value. Excellent video, I watched despite trying to force Teclis atm (doing a fun build with Cath and Loreseeker), as I just don't have the models to do this build atm. I hope it's not too bold to ask an unrelated question but you're both very smart and I figured it was worth an ask - Is it better to go 1 drop with with the Loreseeker Blizzard combo or is it better to do 3 drop (with AA battalion). My list sort of relies on forking your opponent (in the chess sense) between a bunch of powerful spells (that all feel like "must unbinds") and blizzard so that I can still leverage Teclis's 2-4 spells. If I can get the spell casting value out of Teclis I'll get all the fun baked-in rules that come along with him such as spell ignore, autounbind, +1 to cast etc. Just writing this makes me feel it's necessary to go 1 drop but then again, if I get no primals my Loreseeker will be standing in the wind with just his staff in his hand!

12 drop seems like a lot to me. Don’t we want to go first to get Protection of Hysh down?

Sometimes yes, but most of the time I've gone second (and chosen to do so). The list doesn't mind mortal wounds as much as other lumineth lists, because the damage comes from heroes and they're bodyguarded. Also keep in mind that mortal wounds from spells will be less frequent in these games since you'll have plenty of strong unbinds.

Interesting! How have you found 15 bladelords to perform? They become such a target when you put them on the board that I've opted for 2x10.

I kept them behind the extra unit of horses and the spearmen. Alfa strikes crashed there and were countercharged with hoarfrosted blade Lords. Although 2 by 10 could be better just because what you said, they also kept rallying some models back each turn

Hey guys just returned from a one day tournament 20 tough players from my country. I went 2 wins and one draw and I should have won that last match. Got third place with the senthoi build and the bladelords. Funny thing is that the senthoi rune was only helpful against sylvaneth other matches were KO and khorne! Question - if you run rune of senthoi with 1x enlightener and 1x cathalar + zaitrec, does that equal a +2 to casting, dispelling, unbinding (+1 from the cathalar and +1 from zaitrec) or +3 (+1 from enlightener, +1 from cathalar and +1 from zaitrec)? @@strategoitried doing cow instead of fox but with all the little foot heroes, have been reliably able to turn 1 finest hour severeth with speed of hysh to get within 12 of a little hero (maybe move over MW) and use quarts to have 2+ hit, 2+ wound shooting and generally take them out. This often is a general or a hero part of acolytes ;)

I am new to the game but i don't understand how to fit the full army list into those battalions. Theres 1 too many troop units. Warlord is only 2 troops, wizard finders is 2 infantry. If you cut a blade lord you dont have 3 battle line, so it has to be 1 too many dawn riders right?

Warlord is two obligatory troops but you can include more 👍

Lumineth doesn't go great below 2k but it could work. I'd keep the cathallar and ellania&elathor. Then add to that what you like, probably 2x10 bladelords and 1x5 dawnriders

Hey guys! Great video! I have question though. You said the two calligrave can doible erasure, a one two punch as you called it,, but as i understand it, you cant cast the same spell twice in a phase?

Thanks for asking for clarification here! What Jonas and Siegfried were referring to was having redundancy with your options for which caster hits the Erasured unit the following turn. Thus your opponent has to walk out of range of both of your casters with the spell in order to avoid being hit with the mortal wounds. Also, it's just normal redundancy if one of the two wizards happens to be killed before it goes off.

Iam a new AOS Player and I wanna start with Lumineth. Me and two Friends start with this game and we wanna play the narrative Way with 600 PTS. My enemies might be Soulblight Gravebound and organgene zwerge. Is Lumineth playable with these points or its no fun?

Have you decided yet? Lumineth don't fare well with low points. But if you dig their aesthetic, that'll make you enjoy the game the most anyway
