Yes. Panda used to do all kinds of content with Marss, Esam, and Wadi. Would love similar content from Luminosity. I think the difference here is all Luminosity’s talent are actually highly ranked. Maybe they don’t want to be playing each other constantly so they don’t give away their habits? Just speculating. I know Tweek and Sonix grind a lot and Leo and Maister obviously have played more than most people, so maybe not.

@@ripredj17 esam and wadi used to be top 25 on rankings in earlier rankings up until they shifted towards content as a focus, mars was 3 in the first ranking and 5 in the second and was top 25 on two other rankings. The three used to be great, obviously MKLeo is far more impressive, but you really can't scoff at those three they did have results when they were more tournament focused.

Honestly, content aside, this is genuine practice that I feel is useful for the future. From my basic understanding, to fight a character is to predict their choice and hit them before they predict yours. So playing the opposite char sorta allows you to get the right headspace with potentially tough matchups. Also, Leo playing Sonic (at least from this footage) was actually fun? Might just be a lightning in a bottle scenario, but it felt... different? Idk how to put it to words.

The other side of that in my experience if that when playing against your own character, it’s particularly jarring because the opponent does that that’s completely outside of your habits or that you would consider optimal. Sometimes with what would generally be worse gameplay overall, you can lose to your own character. All the same though, seeing different mixup type ways to play your character is extremely useful as well

Yeah, I noticed that myself. It seems like the reason mkleo did so well, is because he threw out the options and mentalities he knew he hated in gmw and sonic players. Gmw mains don't need to space because they have nair. So use nair and watch them flounder. Sonic mains don't need to microspace or count their seconds in terms of speed because disengaging is always 30 frames away. So use movement, and watch the sonic main flounder.

Leo's not afraid to use sonics speed as an advantageus resource. Sonix uses it to deprive the opponent of resources and interaction. So he plays much more warm. Making sonic look good, which he is. People forgot the character is perfectly good offensively. Just nobody plays him that way

Really interesting to see the Luminosity boy's playstyles shown off in each other's characters. You don't see that kind of ledge play from Miya and Spargo with MR. G&W and Aegis respectively like we saw with Maister and Sonix. And both Maister and Leo both were pulling off moves you didn't normally see with Sonix. Great video and great concept, but with a massive void due to Coach Tweek's absence. It would have been a blast to see what tricks everyone can come up with using Diddy and the hidden strategies Tweek would pull out with their characters.
