Dont get mislead by the display of this inverter.You may compromise many things for that function.It is a low efficient inverter rated at 900 VA which has a load taking capacity of only 530 watts.Also it will overcharge older batteries as its ability to detect auto cut off voltage is very poor .Once it is fully charged even if a small power failure will lead to charge the battery again for a hour .It has no option to charge at lower ampere according to the battery requirements and higher current to an older battery will result in damage.It seems that the trickle charge voltage is excessive as wobbling sound can be heard from battery after full charge.This lead to overcharging,excess consumption of battery water and corrosion of battery terminals .I used this for 2 years along with exide IT 500 and the positive terminal of battery is worn out now and replaced the inverter with another brand afterwards.

Indiatechnews com .it depends a large extent,the age of batteries and hence I said older batteries.As I already used my Exide IT 500 for more than 4 .5 years before I switched to luminous from another brand of inverter.At that time the problem was not so severe at the flag end of my luminous usage.A tubular battery will loss it's efficiency by the passage of time including the current handling capacity.Exide IT 500 too is of no exception.But it is comparitively superior to its industry counterparts and usually lasts 8 plus years of medium usage.Here power outages are bare minimum usually 5 minutes or less on a day.if you are using a brand new battery with zelio that may not create problem for initial few years.But it cannot assure that whoever purchasing this model is using it with new battery as opposed to a replacement of old inverter with old battery..Anyhow recently I switched to Microtek SEBz series with 6 years old Exide IT 500,the problem disappears.The charge cut off is perfect irrespective of how many times it will get restarted due to power failure.As its fan is not controlled by temperature like zelio,it is always cool on charging and discharging along with output of 830 watts for1100 VA (80%) as opposed to 530 watts for 900 VA (Approx 60%)of zelio 1100.

Even in my home UPS, I don't hear any beep sound when main power goes off or on. Please share your thoughts.

rTech Just for viewers info. I called up Luminous Customer Care two days back and registered a complaint. Within 24 hours, their service Engineer called and asked my problem. I explained the situation. Luminous Engineer said, it's not a problem. Luminous Zelio 1100 has this feature that when it takes normal load it will not make any beep sound. The beep alarm will sound only when battery percentage goes 80% or below or during overload. One more thing I would like to share. I am using Luminous Zelio 1100 in Eco mode, and my desktop PC doesn't reboot during power cuts or when inverter takes load. This is something awesome about this inverter. No need to switch to UPS mode in back panel.

Hi Geno, Both are really good so far. No issues whatsoever. The luminous inverter is more powerful, but much smaller. I should also tell you they do make some noise when on load and do heat up reasonably. Thanks for commenting, please do subscribe in case you like my videos, appreciate it!

I guess a router and fan does not consume much of power, hence the backup time is still showing max. I think you should leave it as is for a few days and then see if you are getting any new errors.

Heated? I know they get a bit warmish hot during operation of medium to high load. But it is probably due to the metal casing. Just to be sure make sure the Fan is working right. If not I suggest you call a techie :) please do subscribe to my channel, thanks

+mbrij 96 I Can tell you that the 1100 can handle 800 watts easily. Since this has a display it shows the amount of back up time, so the last time I saw it, it showed me 2 hours and 20 minutes on near full load, I am guessing it could last longer. +Irshad B I paid about Rs 5K for it from Snapdeal, Battery was bought from the shop, you would have seen in the video, it was a tall tubular type - Amaron 150 Ah. This model works with any type of battery, SMF, regular or tubular

I use a i5 Desktop with a 24''Monitor and creative speakers and This along with 3 fans and a few LED bulbs run comfortably. Sometimes the TV and this work together too. But yes, it can get overloaded with a 50 inch TV. :) sorry fot the late reply bro, please subscribe, thanks!

In zelio,the working of fan is automatic.The system automatically detects the temperature and switches on the fan as and when required unlike other brands where fan is always working in charging as well as UPS mode.

It should be able to. I use an older APC 850 VA as well and that can power a 360 Double door refrigerator. BUT! remember, I have an inverter fridge that consumes less power. Does the manual look new? I have bought the same from a Dealer. The manual looks old and he has opened it at his shop. I asked him why he opened it at his shop? Why not in front of me? He says it is to put Dealer stamp in warranty card. The machine looks new. I switched on 2 fan 1 Tube and a LED TV of 42 inch. It was displaying 3 hrs 11 m left, I charged Exide Battery Tubular 150 Ah for 20 hrs. Is it correct? I have informed Luminous about different symbol being shown on LCD. Eco mode+Power on with Battery charge, is shown. I just bought it two days ago. Luminous person from Chennai called me and said the information shown on display is correct.

Just keep it in normal mode. Yes the battery charger will work based on the condition of the battery. It may take a few weeks to settle down. These things are slightly different from a mobile phone battery. Nothing to worry about as far as I know. :) Please do subscribe Johnny! thanks!

If its charging or working its usually a bit hot, not very hot though. If its under warranty please call the engineer. Also, did you select the correct battery type? behind there is a battery selector switch? please check that. Also I hope you are not running the inverter in UPS mode. There is a switch for that too. If you do, then the inverter will work better for computers etc, but backup time is reduced and give you other problems.

Hi Dr Biplab. I can answer about the confusions :). 1. It was comparatively cheaper online. 2. With regards to battery, I have a lot of faith in #Amaron, I still use the 150 Ah Amaron tubular. Works great, and is much cheaper than Exide. Other batteries may be good. But I just like the idea of having a battery center shop like Amaron that is omnipresent.
