I have notice on all of the underwater light installs, no uses relays when wiring the lights. I did use relays in my install.

relays really arent needed unless you have a lot of amp draw rated more then the switch, just need a fuse on the power feed

Why does no one share the screw drill bit size

I don’t understand your comment.

All the install videos, no one mentions what size drill bit to use for the screw holes. Even the instructions do not provide that info. I am installing a set tomorrow and had to contact customer care. They suggest 13/64” which I think is too large. Not sure why they wouldnt state it in the provided instruction sheet since they provide the wire path hole size of 1/2”

Ahh I understand now. I would favor a larger drillbit because they’re going to be secured with 3M sealant anyway. The screws provided are bronze and they are extremely soft and they have to be put in manually, not with a screw gun. If you try to put them in to a really tight fiberglass hole with a screw gun you’ll end up snapping the screw off. I don’t recall the exact size I used, but the screw went in with little resistance by hand, and I used 3M sealant around everything to make sure that it would never come off.
