Same here. I remember working an NCAA D1 Ohio State football game back around 2009, where they were testing 3D Cameras- huge and heavy w/3 lenses, the Operator looked like a body builder to support the 70lb rig with a double shoulder support. The 3D tvs in the press level, did not require 3D glasses, it looked pretty awesome, even if it kinda strained the eyes.

I have an old Playstation Tv, compatible with PS3, and 3D technology built in. It would be fun to dabble with this lens and review footage on it

Thanks for your review! It's odd to me that the aspect ratio for stills is landscape, but for video, it's portrait.

All the stills & video from the 3D lens presented here are portrait. (Unless you thought I filmed the commentary with it? That was filmed with an iPhone 15 which has a 3D camera.)

@@jonathansabinvarietyfilms Oh, OK. So the 3D stills in the "30 Seconds of 3D Stills" section were all cropped to landscape, but originally shot in portrait?

@MaximusNYC Ohhh gotcha I understand now. All the portrait photos were from the full frame shots without the camera recognizing the lens. The 30 seconds in question were taken with the lens I mentioned was adapted for close ups, and when the camera recognizes the lens it saves them this way immediately cropped to 4x3 in mpo format.
