Lumix S Series Lenses | L-Mount Victory

I go over my favorite lenses to use on My Lumix S5 and S5ii. Lumix has some of the best and most affordable lenses available in my opinion, and this is a discussion of those.

Sigma 24-70 was first up after buying my S5ii, love that lens. Next was the 35mm 1.8. Recently added the 70-200 f4 and 16-35 f4 which are both amazing. Thanks for sharing your lineup, look forward to seeing more content on the channel!

I know that alot of wedding photographers use only prime glass most also have a second shooter,during the time I photographed events, i worked by myself and if someone wanted video i advised them to hire a second photographer to handle the video end as i worked as a stills photographer. I found using a combination of the 24-70 along with a selection of primes that as a single shooter i could handle all the shots I needed to get, almost every wedding i photographed, the ceremony took place outside so I would start photographing the ceremony from the front and before the ring exchange i would move to an area behind the area that the guests were sitting. When I was able to move more freely as in the reception are i would set my cameras up with prime lenses,

Great video. Can u do a vid on using M43 lenses on full frame camera? There’s nothing on that I can find surprisingly. I dread having to use larger lenses that go with FF. THANK YOU

Appreciate you checking out the video. Unfortunately, MFT lenses would not work with FF. It has something to do with distance of the sensor to the lens. If it did work, there would be significant vignetting around the image. All this said though, there are some incredibly light weight lenses in the L-Mount variants, even some lower zoom ranges at f2.8 from Sigma!

This was filmed with the Lumix S 50mm 1.8, until I filmed that lens for B-Roll, and that was using the Sigma 24-70 2.8
