The fully articulating screen was actually one of the many reasons I switched from Lumix (g85) to Fuji. The screen being so far off-axis from the camera made it impossible for me to frame shots properly. My brain just couldn't get used to it even after months of use, so I was never able to use the tilting screen properly. The X-T2 incidentally has the same kind of screen the S1R does, which I am very happy with.

So I quietly started reading the lyrics and looking at the pictures. Interesting thoughts and I too am keen to have a go with one to see how it fares for my work. I love that style tilt screen for filming outwards with the centred axis etc. But of course when filming yourself or framing with the camera backed into a wall, the flip style really shows it’s worth! Out of date sunscreen is still mostly fine to use by the way, it just means they can no longer accurately rate its factor rating. Essentially, you’ll just have to reapply way more frequently. The trouble is knowing just how frequently… Second to that, an often overlooked rating for sunscreen is UVA star rating, rather than SPF (UVB factor) ratings. Look out for that when you buy your replacement bottle!

Hi James! As usual I enjoyed your video. It's a bit off topic but the thing that struck me most watching it was the quality of the footage from your G9! Loved the colours. ☺ I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the S1, but I think that no matter how good it is (and I suspect that it will be very good) I won't be interested in getting one because I love the size/weight of the MFT system and the quality I can get from my G9 and G80 are certainly good enough for my needs. A chemist boffin asked me years ago if I thought the CEOs of drug companies wore sunscreen. His guess was that they didn’t, and that slathering an oil-based concoction of noxious chemicals on your body does more harm than good. Trick is to have slow, gradual, limited exposure (dyswidt?) over a longer term and then aloe, aloe, aloe. I love my G9, GH5, & Autel EVO.

While it's nice that reviewers give their own opinion, it's sad that almost noone ever gives a thought about how much better such a screen is for everyday shooting pictures with a camera. I LOVE that I can just flip the X-T3 screen up or sideways whenever I want to in the street or nature and that I don't have to flip it out, turn it almost 180 degrees, fumble my neck belt around the screen and completely change how I hold the camera because there is a screen in the way now. If the moment isn't gone by then, take the shot and reverse everything. Yes, I do miss the flip out screen for the 1 selfie in 5000 pictures I take, but I vastly prefer this flip up/sideways screen for the 3000 images I take with a flipped screen. This "not the end of the world" screen mechanic was one of my biggest reasons to give the X-T3 a try after 2 years of MFT/G9 (sadly all highend MFT cameras have a flip out screen). I might be wrong, but I do believe that many who are not youtubers would prefer this mechanic. Would be really sad if manufacturers get influenced too much by all the negative reviews from youtubers in designing their next camera and give it such a clumsy flip out screen IMHO.
