Great video, mate! Panasonic actually has a list on their site showing which SSDs are compatible. If an SSD isn’t listed, you’d need to check its read/write speeds to see if it’ll work. I personally use a Sandisk and haven’t had any issues. I've been using the Lumix S5iiX for a year now, both for paid work and personal trips. My only complaint is the startup time. When traveling, there have been moments I wanted to capture quickly but missed because it took too long to power on Keep up the great work, and keep those videos coming!

What's up man! Thanks for your honest take on this. I was looking at the S5 II but I definitely think it's too much for me and what I do. I love that stab though! You should do more of these. I think the budget cinema lines could use some non-sponsored, authentic content like this! I remember when I was looking at it I watched a ton of reviews and none of them mentioned what you just mentioned. I think the reviewers are afraid to say something that could jeopardize sponsorships or getting gear early and for free. I've seen it in my niche and I have this like burning desire to show people the truth. I just wish I had more time to show them LOL because these videos are time consuming! Let me preference this by saying im coming from an older sony mirrorless body and I primarily shoot photos and wanted to get into video work. I rented the Lumix S5iiX with a Sigma 50mm 1.4 DG DN L mount. Overall the camera felt pretty cheap the buttons were weirdly squishy and the flipping out the monitor the hinge its on was very wobbly made me feel like if it got bumped while out it could break off easily. it did great for photos colors were easily manipulative in Capture one. Video how ever i was trying the 120fps and not sure if it was the lens or if the camera was defaulting to DFD auto focus rather than the new PDAF but the focus was not great in slow motion at all in my opinion compared to a canon R6 i rented previously. May have chose wrong but decided to go with the Canon R6 with EF to R adapter and use EF glass. Iv never used Panasonic cameras before so that's my hot take.
@test43913Ай бұрын
I chose the R6 mostly for the auto focus. It is so so so good at tracking my subjects im also primarily a portrait photographer. Also hated the crosshair or whatever you want to call it while using eye af in the lumix system. I wish it was just a box around the eye.

Umm they are very up front about battery life.. I consistently get 90min of 4K24 IBIS and AF-C, however in AF-S i get 100min because the lens isn't refocusing all the time. You want more record length, get the Battery Grip or V Mount duh... Lag happens on almost all cameras on HDMI, turn off HDMI audio and the lag is half or less, you have a headphone jack. Make sure all your lenses have newest firmware, second the KZbin videos bragging about AF speeds running up to and away from the camera are using Single Point AF regardless of brands so of course it will be accurate and fast...
