Because a lot this is conjecture albeit from credible sources. It's difficult to spin this in the media as anything other than clickbait so most reputable outlets are probably sitting back waiting for a "holy cow" moment. While this is gaining A LOT of traction in the right places (ei. these hearings) there is still a significant amount of taboo attached to it until physical, smoking gun evidence comes to light. This isn't Monday morning political gossip column fodder. If CNN or The Washington Post doubles down on this committing money and resources to hyping it up and getting it into everyone's daily view just for it to fizzle out or worse be completely debunked...any credible they had before will go right down the drain.

This issue is exactly what Eisenhower warned us about: the military-INDUSTRIAL complex. For-profit companies do an incredible amount for the military, across many industries. What has been recovered is given to a private military corporation, which then claims proprietary secrecy. The UAPs obviously have an endless, free source of energy. And that would put countless industries out of business, and ruin their political lobbying ability to boot. Fossil fuel companies, solar power companies, travel industries, the auto industry, weapons & munitions, the NRA, etc., etc., etc. These corporations will take you out for trying to start a union, or proving they pollute the water -- the threat to destroy their market altogether WILL be met with resistance. It is not the military -- they would brag about the technology rather than threaten Russia & China with nukes; it is for-profit PMCs trying to keep the lid on this. But of course, there is a revolving door between military & PMCs -- just ask Erik Prince. This technology would ruin the game for the elite.

My Dad and I had conversations about this way back in the mid 1980's and he was convinced of not only the existence of alien life, but that they had already been here, and continue to be present in our skies. That made me a believer, because my Dad was not some nut job wanting media attention. In fact we kept it between us and my brother and Mom. He and a couple of other Navy Reserve Chiefs saw some stuff in the desert skies on one of their yearly trips to San Diego that they couldn't explain. I asked him if it could possibly be some new type of aircraft they were testing, and he said "We don't possess that type of technology yet to be able to do what these objects did." That has always been in the back of my mind, because I didn't even come close to doubting him. That's the way we were raised. Sadly, he passed away in 1988, and hence was not able to hear about this testimony coming out from trusted individuals. I most certainly believe it, because it ties right in to what my Dad saw way back then, and I know for a fact he would not lie to us directly like that. I could definitely sense he believed what he saw. I am happy that it's finally coming out that SOME people in our government have known about this for decades, and kept it out the limelight for whatever reason.

Living on the other side of the world, I've never heard these noises that are recorded, nor have I seen space objects. More likely it's some extra top secret project that the US defence is working on. And it is known that as far back as WWII soldiers on all sides, American and Japanese included were given surreptitiously, hallucinogenic drugs to keep them going under battle conditions. I think more likely it's uncle Sam spooking his own people and keeping it very top secret. Especially as the space shuttle program appears to have slowed down.
