I'm using the Windows version released recently and loving it. So far rock solid when used with a Apollo Twin X USB. Love the viewpoint of working in a top notch console board.

Having it bypass the extensions during record is a HUGE issue. You should be able to play TO the sound. Thats he whole idea. Hopefully the extensions can be Assigned to DSP once relevant channel is put into INPUT. Totally critical IMO.

Also, I've tried multiple feedback messages asking for some kind of area in the ruler to adjust the project view without restarting playback. In every daw I use that's how I resize the window and section I'm working on and you can't do it in Luna. You can resize the window from the ruler but it always starts playback from that position. It would be best if we could adjust the project layout by pulling down or up on the ruler without affecting playback somehow.

really appreciate the Deep Dives... I spent a couple days working my way through it. Drew - you did an outstanding job of articulating... and also modeling in Luna the scenarios Ben may have been giving in his summarizations... and Ben you have a great gift for succinctly wrapping things up... of giving an example (eg delay compensation) to make crystal clear what is happening under the hood and why. Much appreciated and looking forward to more of these. I also appreciate hearing some object oriented, technical jargon as a long ago software developer... referring to Isolate being Global so that it persists regardless of what Console session may be open, etc. Makes it clear for me.

thank you guys for all the videos. I need to have both licenses on my computer in case I need to use Luna with just the internet and not my ilok but usually I prefert to have internet off and work with ilok but when I do it that way there's a pop up every few minutes telling me it can't connect to my cloud license. Hopefully you guys can fix that in a future update.

I'm all in on the whole UA ecosystem, All I need now is Neve Summing, Ravel, Minimoog, the Spitfire Bundle and LUNA to be controlled by something like Softube Console 1 or and an Avid S3!

So you can track in Luna, then send the stems into another DAW to MIX correct? the reason, I'm heavy into EuCon and have a Dock and S1 and the Luna has no mixer, that can be controlled by Eucon Apps, Can you sync LUNA to say Logic, in real-time? Does Luna send MTC? or receive MTC?

Hi Tommy, yes, you can do that easily. LUNA has extensive Export functions. LUNA has no sync in V1.

There is one thing that LUNA should support now : DAW control and automation so we can use our moving faders ! For the rest I love it with my Apollo x8 , Apollo Twin X quad and 2 satelitte TB octo core.

I'm just going to wait for UA to decide on which controller they're going to support. Once they do then that's what I will buy. While I'm here, I just want to give the engineers at UA a gigantic thumbs up for developing such an exceptional DAW. I was a Logic Pro user for DECADES and HATED every second of it. I've also used ProTools and HATED that as well. LUNA is the ONLY DAW that has met and exceeded my expectations. Great job, team. Great job!!!!

20:25 "let me get that signal to the monitors and the cues" ... this changing signal paths completely changes I/O so if I want to use the ADAT outs for cues to a hear back system. It seems to switch off the "digital mirror". So how are we supposed to handle this? I am liking Luna a lot but struggling with routing as I use the 16 ADAT outs of my 2 BF Apollos to a hear back system.

To use a Hearback you mirror your Cues to the ADAT outs and send to them via the Cue Sends in LUNA.

@@UniversalAudio Thanks for the response. Thats how I have it set up with Console and Logic. In Luna I have tried to set up the same cue tracks as I have 4 stereo cues on the master Apollo (to listen to what is tracking live) and 4 stereo fold back buses created in a template on the slave Apollo (to play back what is already recorded). These slave buses seem to cut out when I record with ARM .. could be that the direct paths are not allowing my routing. I will continue experimenting.

Unless I arm my track there’s a delay with my midi input, a delay with real-time playback and the quality of my instruments is reduced when coming through speakers. When I arm my track my third party plug-ins become disabled taking away my ability to mix. Is there a way to have real-time midi input, playback and third part plugins enabled at the same time?

That is correct. ARM mode applies to instrument tracks as well. But ARM mode also means no AUs.

Funkmastabuzz, I predict it will. Probably a year or more away but the market for Windows I believe is large enough to warrant it at some point. I myself have three friends who run studios on PC and also have Apollos. We just have to be patient.

​@@UniversalAudio Thanks for replying. Im hopeful you're aware that Apple have announced their relationship with intel is coming to an end. The fact that PC & Mac share the same architecture at present, should mean a PC version of LUNA shouldnt be all that difficult. My fear is as Apple changes to producing their own CPU, and ARM architecture, UA, and other Apple developers, will put all their efforts in to writing new code for the new Apple CPU/architecture, leaving PC users left wanting. Hope Im wrong.

I found this to be really poorly done. The GUI is really small, and these guys are talking to each other, rather than the audience. Instead of building upon the concepts, they frequently start with a detailed concept, say they’ll get back to it later. The video starts with a very large mixer desk and everything already created. They talk really fast. I’ll just say it: this is poor instruction.
