Nice! SoMo is pretty technical riding. This is my backyard and I pedal these trails all the time. Getting the timing down on these trails on a 55-60lbs bike would take some getting used to. (yeah, I am hitting the way-back machine on a 2 year old post, but that people do when researching bikes - thanks for taging the Luna Z1).

Undecided between x2 and z1. Thanks for the video

A quick note: I didnt wanna take a lyft to pick up my vehicle so I rode the z1 through town; on the lowest assist setting and it still feels like it does most of the pedaling for you tho its still a good workout. I rode 15.2 miles and still had about 70% battery left cruising about 30kmh or less and took 58 min.

Can you mount 29r wheels in the rear? I know you can on the front. Also how is the gear/motor noise?

Can you pedal with out using the battery , or is there to much drag from the motor? was not sure if it used a one-way bearing or not. Basically if runs out of battery could you pedal it for say a mile or so? Thanks.

Yeah but it feels like dragging a boulder uphill, I think that’s just the feeling of going from assist to a heavier bike w no power.

im new to bikes and trying to learn... would a 20x4 full suspension fat tire ebike be able to do this?

Does the noise of the motor ever bother you? Been debating between the Z1 and X2 with the “silent gear”

Cool video. Why did you choose the Z1 over anything else?
@LoveItDirtyOffroad2 жыл бұрын
Price above all. Hard to find even a regular carbon mountain bike for $4500 and here you’re getting both. Its been a great bike so far; had a little crash on it a couple weeks ago and will probably upload that video.

@@LoveItDirtyOffroad I got the X2 for what ever reason over the Z1. I posted a bunch of videos of it and the last time out it broke.

So now that you've had it for a while, what do you think? pros? cons? Looks like a great bike for the price. I ride a regular hard tail up at Hawes and have a hybrid type e-bike for commuting and stuff. Looking for a full sus e-MTB

You cant beat it. Ive been beating it up and just have to adjust the derailleur almost each time. Rides really smooth and powerful. I originally thought the large battery was overkill but its nice to have; ive never ran it out but also not a die hard all day rider. I bent the pedal and scuffed the bottom of frame when i wrecked but seems fine otherwise.

@@LoveItDirtyOffroad how much time are you usually riding and how far are you going? I am picking up a Norco range VLT but I am considering selling it because I love that the Luna has double the torque/power. Tho I don’t love the 27.5 wheels.
@LoveItDirtyOffroad2 жыл бұрын
@@NickyNicest Ive rode it enough to know its a great bike though Ive never ridden a 10k+ bike so keep that in mind. Thing about the tires is I was bummed too to get the 27.5” cuz my GT has 29” and mainly loved the look but it does roll over things a bit easier BUT what I didnt realize is the 2.8 width maxxis rekon that come w the luna stick sooo much better than the 2.6 specialized I have on my gt sensor. There are a lot of variables but the rekons feel so much better hugging the curves; im sure the extra weight might play a part.

Nice vid. Can throttle only make it up the hills?
@LoveItDirtyOffroad2 жыл бұрын
For sure. You can ride it like a dirt bike
@jmiller56352 жыл бұрын
How far can you ride on just electric with that bike on trails?
@LoveItDirtyOffroad2 жыл бұрын
Really not sure, I wouldn't close my rings if I did that...true cheating lol. My best guess is 10-15 miles with moderate speed and elevation change; maybe more.
